Despite the fact that Butcher Block Conditioner can be applied over the resin to add additional shine, it won't be able to penetrate the resin and reach the wood beneath. Thus, a lesser amount of product would be required.
If wood bowls and spoons are to be used, Howard Butcher Block Conditioner can be used on them as well.
We are not talking about soap or cleaner here, but a wood conditioner. If you want to use Butcher Block Conditioner, you must clean cutting boards with Howard Cutting Board Cleaner first.

Our newly painted wood countertops have been treated with just mineral oil 9 times, and we still need to be extremely cautious when we are in contact with liquids. I then used this product and was very pleased with the Beeswax and carnauba contribute to the feel of the hat. I haven't noticed any liquids penetrating the wood because they seem to bead up on the surface instead. You could even clean up with red wine. We have only given our counters one treatment with this product so far, but will be repeating treatments to increase.

At first I purchased another name brand, whose products were the miners oil and conditioning cream in separate containers, but I found that the amount of cream you got was very small and expensive as well. I heard about this product from a friend and have to say that I am very happy. This product has a very pleasant texture that goes on easily and a little goes a long way.
The easiest thing to do is to start with mineral oil or board oil these soak in quickly. Finally, this is what I have to say. Using a soft, dry rag to buff the surface, it will become smooth, soft, and non-sticky I have a greasy feeling. I really like how it looks and works.
