From my experience at the Manor House - which sold the fancy Ethan Allen furniture - we first became aware of Milsek. The movie vaguely recalls what I saw when I was younger. Purchased it from the Amish store until I found it on Amazon for a better price. A good no-nonsense product it cleans very well, soaks and rinses off more easily than most other products, smells fantastic, and feeds wood and finishes well. It is especially suited well to antiques finished with old-style shellac.
My old oak table has a fabulous finish, but when a plate with hot food is placed on it, the finish turns grayish. The seller said this polish would remove these cloudy mars, but it didn't seem to make any difference no matter how hard I rubbed the finish in. That's too bad.
Not only will this make your wood pieces look great, but I've discovered it cleans stainless steel beautifully, resists fingerprints, and only takes minutes to use. My sister has asked me to take it back because her refrigerator is so difficult to clean that she wants to sell it. Use a soft cloth, an old diaper will do, as you don't need much. My first reaction was to write to the company and let them know.
There is no better product for wood than this. Renewing the wood, it restores its natural beauty. No matter what I tried, I could not remove a large water mark on my hardwood floors. This was the only thing I could find near the spot. Now it's as good as new. Water marks are so blurred that it's impossible to tell where they start and stop. On a wooden chair, there's a pretty big stain that was caused from a large splash of hand sanitizer. As I thought the chair was ruined, I tried rubbing this on and presto, there wasn't a mark in sight!.
This product would have helped us years ago if we knew about it. There are some surface issues on a few of our wooden furniture pieces due to a recent hurricane. The redo of one piece did require a total rewrite. A few of the others had small stains or watermarks. In the end, we sought the help of a restorer who offered to fix them easily but suggested we try this first. We did so and it yielded This book is HIGHLY recommended.
The original purchase was from Amish country and I really like how it holds a polish and doesn't take too much to shine the furniture. The lemon smell is also not overwhelming and it doesn't irritate me like other furniture polishes do. I always had Amazon to turn to when I needed more!.
Having used this product for several years on furniture, I recommend it. If you want to bring back the life of dry furniture, or if you wish to remove stains from it, it does that, but it is not really meant for that purpose. I would describe it as more of a polish.
There was a brand that was recommended to remove water spots from For that, it is okay, but as a wood cleaner and polisher, it is exceptional. Milsek helped me realize how thirsty some of my furniture was until I wiped it with it. By doing this, the grain and colors come to life. I highly recommend this book!.
