Take good care of a tightly woven waxed canvas jacket and it will last you for years

It is much easier to apply Filsons than other waxes I have tried. The site appears to have recently been After I apply it generously with my fingers, I let it dry for a few hours, then use a heat gun to eliminate the gummy effect. It would also work with a blowdryer. Since the fabric is waterproof with broken cuffs, you can use the gun to dry it. It has a certain feel to it. I will open another Tin when I buy another If it is a cloth garment, I will probably take it to the dry cleaner on site and ask them to treat it very lightly. My next step will be to re-phrase I like to wax it, then hang it out in the woods for a time. It is much quieter there. It has been over 50 years since I bought my Filson bird hunting jacket. They are getting worn at the cuffs because they are old.

Like the rest of Filson's products, it is overpriced

I purchased two of these cans for $10 a piece, while they were on sale. Even with both of them, a carhart jacket was not sufficiently covered. You can make your own wax with paraffin wax, beeswax, and linseed oil using information on the internet. There is a lot more money to be made and it is a lot cheaper. Although this method leaves the jacket smelling like a woodshop for a few days, it is certainly worth it. In addition, if you are a bitchiness and can't deal with it, you should buy a filson item.

It has been restored to its original state

It's been at least 10 years since I had to replace my filson chaps that were beaten up and have turned almost white on wear points and lost the water-resistant coating. I soaked them in hot water for two days and then put them in a very hot sun to sow for two days, turning them over twice each You can hardly tell they aren't new anymore! Owners of chaps should keep in mind that the cuffs were torn. It took an alteration shop a couple weeks to make leather cuffs for me.

Your canvas needs a breath of fresh air

I ordered this product to make my 15-year-old hat look a little more supple so I used a hair dryer to melt the wax and make it easy to apply. I applied two coats of wax and let it soak in for a few hours. It looked nearly new after doing the same procedure a second time. The first coat was patchy so I did the same thing a second time.

The scent is not a good match for the product

A lovely finish is achieved with this product, however warm weather will bring out the smell. It can be applied easily, seals fabric well and has a nice finish. In colder weather, you may not notice it as much.

I was happy with how it cleaned up and looked

According to the instructions, I waxed my dog exactly as instructed. Put your canvas bag through the ringer before you put this on. The original Filson briefcase is in my possession. Since I soaked it with coffee, I had to wipe it down. I was happy with how it cleaned up and looked. According to the instructions, I waxed my dog exactly as instructed. To soak the wax into the fibers, I even brought my hair dryer out to melt and melt it. It has a very splotchy look to it. In my opinion, this cannot be applied.
