No, not at all. I also use very hot water to wash dishes, and while I don't feel the heat, the outside layer of these gloves melts. I first noticed it when I noticed fingerprints and other smudges on freshly cleaned glasses. I rewashed them because I thought I hadn't washed them thoroughly enough, only to find more smudges, which I couldn't get off until I put the item in the dishwasher. After doing some more research, I discovered that the outside of these gloves became soft and would come off on the glasses and dishes. I no longer use these gloves for anything other than cleaning the litter box.
I don't have a chart, but the sizes are fairly standard. Because I'm a woman who is XL, I order the Large size. The L size is ideal for me (I have slightly shorter fingers than most men), but it should also fit a man of the same size. They'd most likely be too small for an XL man's hand.
They aren't lined at all. Just your average pair of gloves.
