Questions & Answers

Is the problem with the poor quality now fixed?

I've been using these gloves for about 20 years and can definitely report that the newer gloves run smaller (I wear a large so I can't upsize) and have less or no cotton, which means they're difficult to put on/take off because they're too tight, and they get condensation/dampness on the inside when worn, which makes them sticky because there's not enough cotton. I'm looking at a pair right now that I purchased from Whole Foods rather than Amazon, and I don't see any cotton at all. br>If your hands are small, upsizing will most likely only solve the problem partially. I just finished reading Casabella's official explanation of the product changes on this amazon page and must conclude from their defense of the new product that there have been numerous complaints about these two issues; I hope they will either change the sizing standards, increase the flocking, or perhaps make an XL size (I am a female with large hands). Gloves in the size of a woman's large or a man's small usually fit me - not a medium or large men's size). br>Why should I be concerned? Because I've been wearing and loving these gloves for years, and no other glove has been able to match the cuff. The cuff is extremely effective at keeping water out of your arm because it keeps its shape/fold held out away from the glove's body (does not stick), trapping the water as it rolls down your arm. Other cuffed gloves have failed to replicate this, and the fold is floppy, causing it to either unfold or stick to the glove's body when wet.

I'm looking for a size chart and can't seem to find one. ?

I haven't found a size chart, and neither does the Casabella box. Don't you just love it when a manufacturer completely overlooks the fact that a customer can't try on a product online like they can in a Bed Bath and Beyond store? However, I have some information that may be of assistance. My wife, who has been wearing these gloves for several years, has a small to medium-sized hand for ladies gloves and wears a Casabella M (medium) size. I realize this is only a rough estimate, but it should give you a good idea of how to place your order. Best wishes to you.

I'm curious as to why the price is so high. Is it possible that it's a grammatical error?

They used to be excellent and long-lasting Greek gloves.

Is there a size chart? I'm a woman who wears a glove size 7 1/2, which is on the small side. I'm not sure if I should get a small or a medium. ?

It all depends on how snug you want your gloves to be. I'm a 7 1/2, and the mediums are a little tight, while the larges are easy to get on but a little loose. br>However, I'm a sucker for gloves.

Casabella is selling knockoffs of your favorite brands, not the real thing
3/5

These are knock-offs and fakes. Vrissimdji Bros has been making the original gloves in Greece for years. The Casabella label is used for patents. I've been wearing the gloves for years because they're soft, smell nice, and don't feel like plastic on the inside, and now Casabella is up to no good. These knockoffs are made in Taiwan without the Water Stop or Smart Cuff patents (I saved an original pair when they stopped selling them so I could compare the box and gloves). I just paid $13 for a pair of pink gloves that are not the real deal. They have an unpleasant odor and are unpleasant to touch. Casabella believes you will purchase them in order to obtain the gloves you desire, but she is wrong. ACK, I'd pay top dollar for the real deal, the amazing gloves, but these aren't them. Hopefully, the patents will be put to good use, and the good gloves from Greece will be returned to us. What a waste of time.

They aren't the same as they once were! Over the years, I've been a huge fan of these gloves
3/5

I purchased a number of pairs. Nothing was as durable or functional as it is now, but things have changed! They're thinner, and the fold-up part isn't staying put for some reason! It's just going downhill from there. After 5 minutes of dishwashing, the things have rolled down to the point where they resemble wrist gloves. Because my arm only has a few inches of coverage when it falls down and everything gets wet, this defeats the purpose of the fold-up water catch. I'm not going to buy any more unless they go back to the old design!.

I'm so disappointed in Casabella's new version of these gloves
3/5

I'm so disappointed in Casabella's new version of these gloves. Whatever changes they made only worsened the gloves, not improved them. They no longer slide on and off easily, which was one of my favorite features of them and what set them apart from the competition. The inside used to be a smooth, almost slick surface, but now it's tacky like the rest of the gloves. It was a nightmare. They are now difficult to put on and take off, and the interior is piling or peeling, with numerous small rubber balls that are extremely uncomfortable. I can't begin to express how disappointed I am. I waited for these to restock for a long time because they were the only gloves I used, and the new version is a disaster.

The Large is pink and fits a total of seven people
5/5

Hands measuring 8 inches in length. In 2014, I purchased a pair and immediately fell in love with them. I only used it for dishwashing and it lasted a long time. Then, in 2016, I purchased a replacement pair, which was too small, so I switched to MrClean gloves after hearing from other customers who had similar issues. But I was missing my pretty pink gloves (men, too, deserve pink on occasion), so I decided to take another chance. When I selected large on the website, pale blue gloves appeared, but I received the ones shown in the photo. They are not made of cotton, but they are very comfortable. I wear 7. sterile gloves in five sizes, as well as a large non-sterile glove Nitrile gloves that have been sterilized These fit me perfectly with some room to spare, so if you're an 8, you'll be fine.

I've had the Casabella Premium Waterblock Gloves for years and they're not worth the money
3/5

I've always enjoyed them, which is why I've continued to purchase them in the past. My final pair has been purchased. Not only do the new gloves appear to be inferior to the old ones in terms of material quality and fit, but they also do not last. I used to wear gloves for months at a time. The most recent pair, however, developed a pin hole in one finger after only a few uses; my skin is sensitive to dishwashing soap, so I wear the gloves, and the hole meant they had to be thrown away. I'm not going to buy them again because they're over $10 a pair. It was a shame, because it was a fantastic product.

Hands that are less irritated and dishes that are less soiled
5/5

In the past- I used to wash the dishes once a day and didn't consider dishwashing gloves to be necessary. When a global pandemic struck, I found myself spending more time at home and doing dishes on a regular basis. My hands were drier than a termite, thanks to this and the extra hand-washing required these days. contract of service I decided to give dishwashing gloves a try, so I went online and read way more reviews than I probably needed or should have. The Casabella gloves drew my attention with their glowing reviews and bright hot pink color, so I added them to my cart. I have slim hands but unusually long fingers, so I went with the large size; I now think I could get away with a medium, but the gloves are well-made. I've had them for a week now, and there's no going back; they're designed so that even with the extra wiggle room provided by the size, I don't have to sacrifice grip or comfort. br>br>I've had them for a week now, and there's no going back; they're designed so that even with the extra wiggle room afforded by the size, I don't have to sacrifice grip or comfort. This is a must. The inside of the gloves have flocking to keep my fingers from becoming too pruney. They insulate my hands, allowing me to use hotter water without discomfort while also allowing me to clean those dishes *extra* thoroughly. The textured palms and fingers (which have a cool fish-like texture) I can confidently wash everything from unwieldy saucepans to our beloved whisky tasting glasses because the scale pattern) provides added grip. Even though I'm an adult who should know better, I like being able to scrub away at unappealing stuck-on food while wearing gloves. I use it on food so I don't have to use my real hands to touch it. br>br>There is a slight latex odor to these gloves, but it is dissipating now that they've been out of the box and washed in soapy water several times a day. However, I'm not sure this qualifies as a real disadvantage. Time will tell how well they hold up, but based on how many times I've already used them, I believe they've been well worth the money, and I can't believe I waited so long to try them. Take a chance; You'll be grateful to your hands.
