Despite its high quality, this mattress cover does not seem to be durable. The last mattress had a bad stain after we didn't get a new one right away. Let's just say wine spilled and we missed the opportunity. My mattress cost me close to $100 dollars, so I went back to the store where I bought it. I used it and it worked, but the one I just bought on Amazon for half the price had a sturdier construction. I did not have to use any bleach. I was able to unbox the box and wash on warm. In 10 minutes with a Cal King, I took care of everything by myself. I like the zipper because it works well. The mattress cover I am recommending is good. Over the next three to four years, I have no idea how well it will hold up The only issue I have with it is I am not sure if it is waterproof for 5 years, but I can tell you that it is I have never had to stretch out the material to get it on, and it fit very snugly. As well as looking durable, the stitching appears as well. This mattress cover received dozens of positive reviews and I'm glad I picked it. The product and labeled mattress protectors do not work as advertised, it is not liquid or water proof. A QUARTER OF APPLE JUICE once fell on my daughter's bed while she was sleeping, and the liquid immediately drank through and stain the mattress. It was originally intended for potty training, but when urine went through the first time I had to start putting pull ups on her again so that she could sleep since there was juice staining, as well as a urine stain from an accident she had.
