No, you can't use it if you're sleeping on your back because it's too bulky. Due to a recent lower back injury, I tried sleeping with this lumbar cushion under my back. It's far too bulky for that purpose, and I only tolerated it for a few seconds.
This Lumbar Cushion is not compressed in its original packaging; it is at full size, so if you had to return it, it would fit in the box it came in.
Blue to the extreme!

Due to a very shallow lumbar curve and herniated, torn, and degenerative lumbar discs, I've always had difficulty finding an appropriate lumbar cushion. All other cushions, even those labeled "slim," are too large and cause me to arch my back, putting pressure on my painful discs. Despite the fact that this cushion is more expensive than the majority of lumbar cushions on the market, it is well worth the money. It's so light that I barely notice it, and because of its small size, it's easy to transport; it even fits on my mobility scooter. I've only had this cushion for a few days, but I spent 6 hours in the car in that time and felt as well supported as my pain would allow (I have spinal stenosis and nerve compression, so I'm never pain-free). free). This is my third lumbar cushion (I've left two on planes because I'm a moron). I have lower back issues and travel frequently, and having this makes such a difference in my comfort that I keep re-purchasing it despite the high cost. It's a shade of blue that's similar to the color of many plane seats. It blends in well (which is a good thing if you don't want to draw attention to your back problems), but you might not notice it there at first glance, which has led to me forgetting to take it with me when I leave.

Another issue I've read about is that the cushions lack ties to keep them attached to the chair. To secure the cushion to the chair, I used 3/4-inch black elastic, which I had previously used for similar items. I simply sew the elastic ends together and place it over the chair and cushion, which ensures that they do not move when I sit or stand. The cushions are covered in a dark blue zippered cover that is extremely soft. This purchase has exceeded my expectations. It was a good investment for me.

An older version of this same cushion had a particularly soft feel to it. In my car, this cushion was just the right size for lumbar support. The foam, on the other hand, was extremely uncomfortable and hard to work with. If it had been good, I would have purchased another. In the summer, when it's hot and the memory foam is easier to mold, this cushion would be fine. When it was cold in my car in the winter, this cusion was incredibly difficult. Even the heat from my body wasn't enough to comfortably shape it- in comparison to the previous version I'd like to thank Tempur-Pedic for providing me with a comfortable Pedic would be more conscientious about the materials they use.
This was on sale, but I returned it because (1) it is too big and (2) there is no strap to keep it in place on the chair. I bought a smaller memory foam back pad with straps a few months ago. I can live with it being big, but straps, in my opinion, are a must-have. For this, I took away a star.
Instead, try their All-Purpose Pillow. It is hard and heavy, and it will not stay in place. br>I'm 5 2 and this thing might be the right size, but it slips out of place with the tiniest adjustment. It's annoying and it's not being used. br>br>I highly recommend their all-purpose peanut butter. instead of looking for a pillow It's softer, stays in place thanks to the shape, and keeps your posture arched. Using and not using it throughout the day is a nice change of pace. And I'll gladly take it on a plane with me, so it'll see a lot of action.
It was time for a change after enduring numerous trips in a squeaky seat. I decided to look for a similar product for my car because I have a tempurpedic mattress. This is a fantastic cushion. It provides 12-hour support to the lumbar region. It prevents the soreness and fatigue that you're used to on long trips. If you're traveling across the country or to work, don't forget to bring this cushion. br>br>It stiffens up in the cold, but a few minutes of contact cures this.
