Yes, the G1/2'' connector is widely used in North America.
The shutoff valve isn't designed to turn off the water completely. It only reduces the flow to a low level, rather than completely shutting it down.

It should, however, read: "Take the clear plastic pieces from each end of the hose and discard them. Then, using the head of a flathead screwdriver and turning/prying, remove the GREEN pieces on the ends of each side of the hose. Check to see if a washer is already in place after these parts have been removed. * If a washer is missing, put one on each end of the hose and connect the conical end to the handheld shower and the hex nut end to the bracket with one of the provided washers. "br>br>(*Mine already had a washer on the hex end, but I forgot about it and added one of the two washers provided. ) It wouldn't stay in place when I tried to screw it in. Then I took out the washer, realized it already had one, and attempted to reinstall it with only one washer. It was simple to put on. )br>br>I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to let others know about this so they wouldn't be as frustrated as I was and return a perfectly good product.
I decided to give it a shot because it was about half the price of a comparable Moen head, and so far it's worked out well. I'm going to look for the water restrictor because it seems like there isn't enough water pressure, despite the fact that my tap pressure is 60 psi. I'm guessing the head has a flow restriction. For the most part, the water pressure is adequate, but I'd like the two massage styles to have more impact when they hit you. This one does not perform as well as my previous one. Still, for the price, it has served me well thus far. br>br>There are no leaks, and all functions are fully functional. If you already have a threaded shower head, installation is quick and easy. Wrap the threads with the thread tape provided, then attach the new head base, hose, and head itself, and you're ready to go. Because mine leaked when hand tight, tighten the base to the shower head pipe with a wrench a couple of turns. br>br>Overall, I'm very pleased with this shower head so far. I'll make sure to update if it fails in a reasonable amount of time. For the time being, I'm recommending that you buy it.
I bought the shower head to replace one that wasn't delivering enough water pressure or flow. It was simple to put together once I was able to loosen the adjustment connection and move the head on the ball adaptor. I tried to figure out what the seven settings were once they were installed. I was only able to find a total of six working settings, not the six that were advertised. A dribbling stream of water with no force or direction is set for the head's center opening. I could only find settings that had the inner two circles of jets or the outer circle of jets, so one of the photos shows all of the smaller outer rim spray outlets running at the same time. The three openings that are supposed to be the massage type setting do not pulse and do not produce enough pressure to count as a massage, and I've never been able to get all three to run at the same time. The hose is extra long and made of stainless steel, according to the description. The hose is either standard length or shorter, and it is not made of metal in any way. It looks like it's made of rubber or plastic. I hit the shower caddy with the head while installing it. The black finish came off almost instantly, so I doubt it will last long. Overall, it's not what the Amazon listing claimed it to be!.
I recently purchased a Delta faucet and was disappointed by how cheaply made their products appear for the price you pay. Since I'd already spent so much money on that, I figured I'd save some money on the shower head (since apparently paying more for a name brand no longer equates to higher quality). The quality and durability of this product surprised me. It's great, and I especially like the "on/off" switch and how simple it is to use. When you're bathing small children, you'll need to use it frequently.
We recently purchased a home with a master bathroom that includes a tub and a stall shower that is just big enough for us to use. The various settings are convenient, and the shut-off lever allows you to soap up and rinse at the same time. In my camper, I have a shower head that is similar. Despite the fact that it is made of plastic, I believe it to be a good buy. I also removed the water limiter from the shower head at the point where the house is connected. Pull it out carefully before attaching the hose with needle nose pliers, and you're good to go.
This was the only color-matched removable head I could find for a reasonable price. It goes with the other fixtures in the bathroom where I put it. It's simple to set up and looks fantastic, but the water pressure is low. I double-checked that the flow regulator was removed, but it didn't make a difference. br>br>It's fine as a second or guest shower, but I'd look for something with more pressure if this were my main shower. There are several other low-cost options. shower heads that have a higher flow rate and a higher pressure.
br>Every fitting had O-rings. The ring is held in place by the thread. br>To avoid scratching during shipping, the showerhead was placed in a soft bag. br>Despite its hard plastic appearance, the a appeared to be brushed metal. br>During installation, every fitting went together without a hitch. br>All of the water sprays worked exactly as they should, which is unusual. br>br>Because of the hardness of our water, we must replace hardware on a regular basis. br>I'm hoping it lasts as long as the rest of the system. br>Excellent item.
