Questions & Answers

I'm not sure what the difference is between 2251 and 2252. ?

I'd like to point out that I have the 2252 (6 sprays) and 2251 (8) shower heads installed in two separate showers. The pressure on the 2252 is higher.

Is the 2251 equipped with a water-saving washer? Is it possible that I'm not applying enough pressure to my head?

That's correct. I recommend that you remove it; however, you should not remove the rubber O Ring because this eliminates the need for plumbers tape. Remove the O Ring and pry off the white plastic piece that acts as a water restrictor with an awl. You're done when you replace the O Ring.

Is there a nice wide pattern on this? I've noticed that some of these adjustable shower heads don't have the same wide pattern as old school shower heads.?

It is wide enough to cover my husband, who is 6'10" and weighs 280 pounds. You'll take this shower head with you when you relocate.

If you get it for speakmanthere website, is it the same shower head as the Speakman icon shower head?

Hello, br>Speakman isn't set up to sell directly to customers. S-, on the other hand, is a unique unit. 2251 is a Speakman item, and you can learn more about it at speakman. com

For the same price as the big names, you can get a far better head! My wife and I are building a new home, and when we went to the plumbing store to select our fixtures, we were taken aback by how expensive the fixtures were
5/5

They're astronomically expensive! (for a proper name-) Fixtures for brands - not the cheep, flimsy, dumbed-down kind Lowe's or Home Depot have scaled-down versions). A shower "set," for example, that includes a temperature control valve, matching spout, drain, and shower head, can easily cost $350-$400. 500! We discovered that the shower heads alone cost $180-$200 when we priced them separately. 300! Yes, these were for well-known heads, but believe me when I say that they didn't have anything special about them other than the fact that they sprayed water! As a result, we began to consider other possibilities. We're sure we could find something cheaper if we looked around, and Amazon has plenty of low-cost showerheads to choose from. wallet with conscience - Some have even received high praise. However, in many of the reviews we read, people kept returning to their old "Speakman" shower heads that they'd had for years. I'd never heard of them before. As a result, we continued our research. The price was higher than the $30 ones we were considering, but only by the name-brand difference. We decided to take a chance and buy one to try out, bearing in mind Amazon's generous return policy. When it arrived, I put it in my wife's shower (yes, we have separate showers, but only because our small bathroom couldn't accommodate both of our belongings, hence the move). I tried it out the next day and was not only pleasantly surprised, but completely blown away! On a shower supply arm, this thing was heaven! br>br>First and foremost, it exudes quality from the moment you take it in your hands. It's nearly five pounds in weight, and you'll notice the difference right away when you screw it on to your shower arm. It's made of metal all the way around, including the outer housing, so it'll last a lifetime! Installation took only 3 minutes. Simply unscrew the old head, wrap some (included) Teflon tape around the shower arm's threads, then screw on the Speakman, hand tighten, and you're finished! It has a 2 GHz processor. Standard installation includes a 5 gallon per minute (gpm) limiter, but if you don't think that's enough water, simply reach into the supply coupler with your finger tips and pull it out. Just keep in mind that without it, you'll more than double your water consumption, which sounds great in theory but will quickly deplete your water heater. br>br>Second, the shower experience is simply amazing and thoroughly satisfying. Each of the eight nozzles produces eight small streams (for a total of 64) that form a wide, criss-cross pattern. Take a cross pattern to the shower and get a good massage all over! They can be adjusted from a fine, sharp stream to "flood" mode, which gently gushes aerated water all over you - as if you were standing next to a steaming waterfall It's really hard to put into words; you just have to experience it. It did not appear to increase the "pressure" of the water, according to some reviewers. " Well, folks, water pressure isn't solely determined by your shower head; it's also influenced by your home's water pressure control valve - Ideally, it should be near the point where your main water line enters your home. If you believe your water pressure is too low, start by adjusting it (even a small adjustment can make a big difference). I can tell you that we went from a 2 to a 3. Name: 5 gpm This head has gone from a brand head that put out the tiniest, most insignificant amount of water to one that puts out 2. You FEEL like you're getting a lot more than 5gpm. I'm torn between keeping the 2 and getting rid of it. I installed a 5gpm flow limiter to see the difference, but even with it in place, the shower experience far exceeded my expectations and is nothing short of fantastic! It's difficult for me to pull myself away from the shower, even when I'm in a hurry! It's so soothing that I feel as if the shower has a hypnotic effect on me. br>br>After hearing my wife rave about it for several days and having only used it once, I decided I needed one in my shower as well, so we ordered a second one, and I have no regrets, only compliments. We're storing the old heads in the cabinet under the sink so that when we move and sell the house, we can easily replace them and take the Speakman's with us. br>br>Prosbr> Built to last a lifetime, this could be your last shower head purchase. Oh, my goodness! br> Showering is a hands-on experience. Easily the best and most luxurious experience I've ever had at home (with the exception of a few spa visits)br> 2. The 5gpm limiter is easily removed with your fingers, allowing you to have an even better shower experience (if that's possible). br>br>Cons - My quick 5-point plan Showers that used to last 7 minutes are now lasting 20 minutes. Shower "experiences" lasting 25 minutes (or until hot water runs out, whichever comes first)br>- My wife and I are no longer able to shower at the same time. It's just a matter of waiting until the water heater is fully refilled for one of us.
- In the mornings, I'm now consistently 15 minutes late to almost everything. br>br>Bottom line: Do not walk, but rather run to your computer and place an order for one of these! They are as amazing as the majority of the reviewers claim, and they will completely transform your shower routine. I know you're hesitant because they're a little pricey, and I understand. However, they're no more expensive than a big-screen television. This is a brand-name shower head from a reputable plumbing store, and it's not a bad price considering it could be the last shower head you ever purchase. Oh, my goodness! br>br>Oh, my goodness! br>br>Oh, my goodness! Remember to clean behind your ears as well!.

You can be harmed by what you do not understand
5/5

We had never heard of the Speakman brand before we started looking for a replacement shower head; I had replaced ours with a Home Depot mass market Moen about three years prior. I worked fine at first and whenever I cleaned it, but it required too much cleaning over time and had to be replaced. br>br>I wanted something that would stand the test of time, so I started looking into it, and the Speakman name kept popping up as a great product; having never heard of them before, I looked through the Amazon reviews and found one written by TheaterPopcorn. At first, I was perplexed as to how someone could become so invested in a review and care so much about a shower head. br>br>His review convinced me to take the plunge; when I told my wife the price of this product, she was about to commit, but I was convinced this was exactly what we had been looking for all along. br>br>Everything in TheaterPopcorns review is correct; I was the first to try it out, and when I was done showering, my wife inquired as to whether it was worth the money. I simply told her to take a shower, and you be the judge. My wife entered the shower, and within twenty seconds, I heard a loud OMG! Thank you for making me look like a genius with your review, TheaterPopcorn.

You're probably in the same boat as me: you're desperate for a good, powerful shower
5/5

It was discovered by you. If you're anything like me, you looked into a few different brands and learned about the various ways that showerheads increase shower pressure – whether through air, compression, or other means. You can now put an end to your search and purchase this showerhead. It transformed our dribbling shower into a heavenly showering experience that revitalized us. This shower head is so good that when I saw someone looking at showerheads at Home Depot a few days later, I couldn't help myself and went over to recommend this one. br>br>A couple of quick points to mention: we have two bathrooms in our apartment, and I replaced one with this shower head and the other with the S-shaped shower head. Model 2252 has six outputs, but only two inputs. 0 gallons per second is the rate at which water evaporates. I also ran tests with and without the water restrictor removed (removing the restrictor is a fairly simple process that you can find instructions for here). (You can find it on YouTube. ) You should be aware that once the water restrictor is removed, it cannot be replaced, so it's worth testing without it first in case removing it would be excessive. The S-br>The S-br>The S-br>The S-br>The S-br>The When the restrictor was still in place, 2252 increased the water pressure significantly, but once it was removed, it worked flawlessly. The S-shaped S-shaped S-shaped S-shaped S-shaped S-shaped S-shaped S The number 2252 is superior to the number S-. The restrictor is still in the 2251 (this model). This model outperforms the S-model once the restrictor is removed. 2252 due to the 8 outputs' coverage; fortunately, our small children use the second bathroom, so the lower coverage isn't an issue for them, and the S-type isn't an issue for them. 2252 is half the price, and I didn't find the 2. The 5 gallon per minute setting provided significantly more pressure than the 2 gallon per minute setting, but I imagine it would have a greater impact on the water drop setting, which provides less pressure but more water for rinsing out hair. The shower head is not very flexible, which is why I gave it a "buy now" rating. It can flex enough for our needs and the 45-degree angle pipe from which our showerhead connects, but if you need something that can point to all areas of your shower or the pipe comes out in a way that requires the showerhead to point straight down, this might not be the best option. "Buy now" is the only other option.

The faceplate has been etched with hard water stains
3/5

We've had this model for a few years, and the faceplate is now etched with hard water stains. It had to be made of a lower-quality metal than the unaffected body. I tried the vinegar soak recommended in the manual, but the metal has been permanently corroded. For the price, this should not happen, but it is otherwise a fantastic showerhead.
