Questions & Answers

Is there a way to get more pressure by removing the water restrictor?

All of these models, I assume, have a similar setup, and if they do, the short answer is yes. However, depending on the water pressure in your building, you may not be able to completely remove it. Because of the pressure, I was unable to cycle through the various settings when I did it. I didn't have this problem when the restrictor was turned on. So, my advice is to take out the restictor CAREFULLY. Remove the metal ring first, followed by the plastic part; the green plastic with the black gasket and white plastic cross comes out in one piece, but it can be separated into three pieces. If you're having trouble with excessive pressure, try replacing the green and white cross piece WITHOUT the black gasket and securing it with the metal ring. More water can flow, but some pressure is reduced. This is why you should take it slowly when removing the restrictor - because you never know when you'll need it. br>br>I removed it in my case because I was cleaning my shower head thoroughly. If you live in an area with hard water, flushing out your showerhead is the best way to clean it of minerals. The restrictor must be removed in order for the debris to exit through a hole. An overnight soak in a vinegar/water solution would also be beneficial.

What is the exact location of the flow restrictor? Is it a physical problem with the brain? How difficult is it to get rid of it?

The shower head's green cross restrictor can be found at the bottom. You can see it in the head by unscrewing it from the hose. Remove the metal circle, the white plastic cross, and then the green restrictor with tweezers or a similar instrument. Everything just falls into place. Reattach the hose's head. No leaks. Everything is so simple!

Is the attraction of the magnet sufficient? Is there a chance that the shower head will fall off?

I believe it is not strong enough; it frequently detaches from its magnet, banging loudly against the wall, the floor, or, if you're really unlucky, your head, so keep an eye on it, especially if you have children. I bought a popular Newentor shower head and installed it in two minutes without using any tools, with no leaks. There are six settings and a high water pressure.

Is there a square handheld showerhead from Moen that is similar to the one from Newentor? It appears to be more contemporary?

The Magnetic Attachment, Button Toggle, and Big Face are all fantastic additions! UPDATE: The toggle switch on the shower head stopped working a month after I bought it, and the shower head would only alternate between the most powerful jet setting and a sad trickle

I'm on the outskirts of the 30-mile radius. I called Moen Customer Support to report the problem because the Amazon return window was only a few days. The customer service representative was extremely pleasant, and I was pleased to learn that the product is covered by a lifetime warranty and that a replacement will be sent to me within the next two weeks. br>br>2nd UPDATE (August 21, 2019): Several months ago, the promised replacement shower head arrived. The showerhead has been functioning flawlessly since then! ) There aren't any issues. Excellent customer service, which I would strongly recommend.
- br>First and foremost, this shower head has two major advantages that I considered when looking for a handheld shower head to replace my non-functioning one. one that is portable: The magnetic attachment feature, as well as the mode switch button. Because my shower pipe is already quite high, I thought a standard handheld shower head that needed to be lifted up and out would be an unnecessary strain in the shower (I'm 5' 8", but I suppose it wouldn't be an issue if you were 6' tall), so I thought the magnetic attachment was a nice touch. I've had the shower head for a few weeks now, and so far it's met all of my expectations! The hose is a little short and doesn't reach the bottom of my tub, so I only gave it four stars instead of five. The handheld shower head was purchased primarily to make bathing my dog easier, as the hose isn't long enough to rinse her underbelly, but if this isn't a priority for you (i. e. If you don't need it to wash your dog, then give it a five-star rating. br>It does not include plumber's tape, but it is not required for installation. Other reviewers have claimed that using plumber's tape causes the connections to leak. All you have to do is place the rubber gaskets that come with the kit between the screw holes. That's all there is to it in terms of connections. No leaks. br>In terms of water pressure, my building already has excellent water pressure, so that wasn't an issue. The replacement shower head, on the other hand, had two. I liked the 5 GPM (gallons per minute) output, so I wanted to keep it. This shower head produces 2 gallons of water when the flow restrictor is removed. 0 GPM, but removing the flow restrictor, as mentioned in other reviews, is simple and produces 2. When the restrictor is removed, the flow rate is increased to 5 GPM. Take some tweezers and remove the metal clasp inside the shower head, as well as the plastic flow restrictor with the green crosshair that's tucked behind the metal clasp. Continue with the installation after removing the metal clasp and the plastic flow restrictor. br>I was also impressed with the shower head's size. It's a lot bigger than the other standard ones on the market, which I like a lot. It's about the size of your hand (as shown in the photo). I wanted it to feel like I was in a nice hotel. I was looking for something specific, such as a shower head, and I found exactly what I needed. You will not be let down.

This morning, I set up the shower head, and everything has gone well so far
5/5

It leaked because I used plumber's tape. I just installed the shower head this morning, and everything seems to be working fine so far. I used plumber's tape and it leaked, so I tried it again without it and it worked fine, and I also removed the water restrictor, which was a breeze. You'll notice a small metal ring at the end of the handle if you look closely. I used needle nose pliers to get it out, but a paper clip or tweezers could also be used. I then used needle nose pliers to pull out the green piece with the cross on it. It's that simple. The water pressure appears to be sufficient but not excessive. br>br>I have to say, it's a lot bigger than I anticipated. I should not have been surprised because I knew the measurements, but I was. As a result, I included a photo to demonstrate how much larger it is than a standard one to potential customers. I didn't want the one from Delta that nestles the smaller shower head into the larger one because I wanted the magnetic feature. The spray setting can also be changed with a push of a button, which I like. br>br>Other buyers have complained that the cord is chrome rather than brushed nickel, and that it is a little short, which is true, but it doesn't bother me. So far.

I expected this product to last more than a year for the price of $79, but it did not
3/5

Water sprayed all over my bathroom after the part that screws onto the pipe cracked. Lowes, Home Depot, and Amazon do not have replacement parts. Amazon has washed their hands of the problem after a year, and I must contact the manufacturer. However, my invoice shows that the product was sold by a third party, so I'm worried that Moen will fire me as well!.

There is a major snag that Moen fails to mention
3/5

Aside from that, Unfortunately, I have no choice but to return this product, as I purchased a Zen Time refill kit, which is my favorite and, in my opinion, the strongest scent while showering. It's also the only scent I can tell whether or not it's working. As a result, I put my theory to the test: if I shower quickly, around 3-minutes, I might be able to get away with it. I can save enough aromatherapy oil for my second shower of the day by setting the intensity setting to the lowest for 4 minutes and then setting it to zero (off) when I'm finished showering to prevent water from the capsule draining out of the showerhead. However, this is ineffective as well. Only the first few seconds of my second shower had any scent, and it vanished almost instantly. No matter how quickly you shower or how hard you try to keep the oil usage to a minimum, it is truly a one-time use product. Because the top foil has puncture holes, the water/oil mixture just flows out of the capsule, you can't remove it during or after the shower to save the remaining oil. Moen and INLY have collaborated on yet another thoughtful design; You can't open the capsule with the foil facing up. The capsule is shaped in such a way that if you put it foil side up, it will tip over and spill the entire contents. br>br>With that in mind, and in light of my girlfriend's complaint that the water pressure is far too low for her tastes, I'll be returning this as soon as my Zen Time capsule runs out. Original Review: br>br>Original Review br>br>Original Review br>br>Original Review br>br>Moen, I sincerely hope that someone from your company is keeping an eye on the reviews that have been left here and elsewhere. To be honest, I bought this showerhead primarily for the Aromatherapy oil infusion, which helps me relax after a long day at work, and nothing else; aside from the infusion and the magnetic mount, the showerhead isn't significantly different from other more affordable showerheads on the market. The spray options aren't much different from what's available elsewhere, and they're also a little weak. This isn't a major issue, and I actually prefer the showerhead's less powerful sprays. It doesn't make you feel like you're drowning, and it's actually quite relaxing, as someone else here pointed out. br>br>However, as I mentioned at the outset, I bought this specifically for the aromatherapy infusion. I noticed that there was no scent coming from the showerhead tonight, on my second day of showering. I checked the capsule, which was empty, because I was confused. During my previous shower, I had used the entire capsule in a single shot. I then did some research and discovered that someone had asked about the duration of each capsule, and Moen's response was that it could last anywhere from 3 to 10 minutes, depending on the intensity setting. That means each capsule will only last you one shower, and you'll have to replace it twice a day if you want to enjoy the aromatherapy while showering! You might be able to get away with just one capsule per day if you shower quickly and use the low-intensity settings. br>br>At this point, I don't mind replacing the capsule once or twice a day if the replacement capsule is reasonably priced. If you don't know how much the replacement capsule costs, here's how much it costs on Amazon. It's only $16 for five capsules! That works out to be about $3. Each capsule contains 20 calories. So, if you use two a day, it will cost you $6. The daily rate is $40. You'll spend $45. per week, and that's for one person! br>br>I understand that these are aromatherapy oil fragrances made in France, and I appreciate the high quality, but I wish they had been more forthright about the intended use. These are essentially high-end Kcups for your shower, and if I had known they were single-use capsules that cost more than $3 to replace each time I used it, I would have thought twice about buying them. Coming home and showering with the relaxing scents was going to be the highlight of my day, but I wasn't going to spend too much money on it. I guess I'll have to be stingy with the capsules and only take them twice or three times a week. br>br>Moen, I hope you're still reading. When it comes to capsule usage, be open and honest with your customers. Make it clear on your website and product pages that these capsules are only good for one time use. Irate customers returning your product because they were misled by a lack of information is the last thing you want. Also, one suggestion I'd like to make is to provide more affordable options for your customers to buy and use on a regular basis. Perhaps larger capsules that last longer, or perhaps less expensive capsules that contain essential oils that aren't made in France (but are still safe to use) and are packaged in less expensive and less attractive containers. Alternatively, I'm hoping that third-party manufacturers will soon start offering safe, affordable alternatives.
