com. Unfortunately, the water flow and build quality have disappointed me. The primary stream has a low pressure compared to the previous budget showerhead, and the massage stream and mister are practically useless. Re: I wish I had chosen something else because the build quality is poor, with a cheap plastic construction that does not justify the $70 price.
If you're upgrading from something bad, do yourself a favor and spend $10 on a cheapo minimalistic head with good reviews and see how you like it before investing in this thing. It's only marginally better than the $10 heads, in my opinion.
It's possible that long-term viability is in doubt. Every single one of the spray patterns is fantastic - During a shower, I use each and every one. I'm not aware of any lack of water flow. However, while the body and mechanism are made of metal, the spray jets themselves are made of plastic, and their longevity is unknown. My previous experience with the durability of other Kohler products has left me unconvinced. When evaluating the value proposition, this must be taken into account.
However, I should've tried it with the restrictor in place before having it removed because WOW! Without it, the water pressure is far too high. I'm sure it would have been perfect if I had just left it alone, but I've already purchased another showerhead and will try to sell the one I tampered with on Facebook Marketplace with a disclaimer (LOL) in the hopes of recouping some money. I'm not too knowledgeable about such things - I'm just a single mother trying to get things done on my own. The showerhead, on the other hand, is AMAZING. I only used it once (with the restrictor removed), and the water flow was so strong that it felt like I was showering in a fire hydrant. TLDR: The water restrictor does not need to be removed! I'm looking forward to receiving my new one: )br>br>Recently updated: I installed the new one exactly as it came, and it's a huge improvement. The pressure of the water is satisfactory. However, I'd prefer it to be a little more powerful - somewhere between the pressure I have now and the pressure when the water restrictor piece was removed br>br>However, if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, you've come to the right place. This one will be kept! I'm still happy with what I bought:.
This is the shower head for you if you like shower heads that rain down on you but want something a little more powerful. It has three modes: one that is extremely powerful, one that is similar to a strong mist, and the normal mode. There is a lot of pressure, but it isn't excessive. It's not as if you're being stung by tiny needles.
First and foremost, if you're interested in this product because it was recommended by Wirecutter, you should be aware that Wirecutter has clearly failed with this one. I'm not sure how the price of this cheap plastic hollow-sounding piece of junk with one completely unimpressive setting and two completely useless settings justifies the price. I'm at a loss for words when it comes to complimenting this showerhead.
This is a fantastic no-frills showerhead. Good construction, simple installation (use plumber's tape), and simple operation. The mode switching has such a satisfying click to it that I find myself switching modes unnecessarily just to try it out. br>br>The mist setting (the inner-most setting) Most circle) is actually quite nice, providing gentle but complete coverage that is suitable for washing your face. However, if your showerhead is more than 1 foot away from your head, you should avoid using the mist setting because the water will be cold by the time it reaches your skin. To keep the heat, you must get extremely close to it.
I purchased it because I felt bad about using a high-flow shower head. This takes up about a third of the space of my previous one and feels just as good. The three spray options appeal to me because they are all so different. The mist is disliked by some reviewers, but I enjoy the sensation. When switching from one of the other two sprays to the mist, you'll need to adjust the water temperature because the mist loses heat to the room air faster than the other two. As a result, the mist cools your body more between the shower head and your body than the other sprays. br>br>Paying someone to install this would be a waste of money. It will only take a few moments. All you'll need is a crescent wrench that can be adjusted and a roll of Teflon tape. Pliers should not be used because they will leave tooth marks on the metals.
