In 1964, our home was constructed. The shower head is too large to fit into the attachment. A spool- I was given a similar item with the pieces, but I had no idea what to do with it. In any case, if there isn't a way to connect the hose to this broken shower head, I'll have to return it. Do you have any suggestions?
There's a silver ring that turns at the bottom of the shower head (right before the hose). This will allow you to open and close the water flow; make sure it is fully open.
You twist the shut off at the bottom of the handle, where the hand and the hose connect, to turn it on or off, and you can also use it to reduce the water pressure if necessary. This hand-held shower has proven to be extremely effective for me. It isn't fancy, but it accomplishes the purpose of a shower. The only issue I see is that the on/off switch is a twisting device, because some people may have a very weak grip due to arthritis or another condition.
We installed it for my mother and it's held up well, with an additional holder on the shower wall to keep the long hose out of the way. It's fantastic!

I'm not one to enjoy writing negative reviews, but after purchasing three of these shower heads, I can confidently state that they have a design flaw: All three of them have a leak. This shower head is probably not a big deal for the average person while showering, but it's a pain in the neck for a caregiver like myself who, after assisting an elderly parent into and out of the tub via a transfer bench, then rinses the tile walls and transfer bench with it. The issue with it leaking is that the water runs down my arm and all over the floor, adding to the work and frustration. I carefully put together all three of them (following the product's assembly instructions), but they all leak. What is this thing called 'AquaSense?' This company's name should be changed to 'AquaNonsense. ' If you're going to use it to clean the tile walls of your tub from the outside, it'll be terrible.
I went to give our puppy a bath tonight after only THREE uses, and the plastic ring that holds the unit to the wall pipe cracked while the water was warming up. The section with the 'holder' and the shower-head The side hose connector launched itself like a rocket and slammed into the back of the shower wall, spraying water everywhere. br>br>The hand-held nozzle's design appeals to me - It's the only one I've found that allows you to control the flow of water, which is crucial when washing a small dog. However, all of the parts (aside from the hose) are plastic and will not last. br>br>I wasn't expecting much for the money, but it breaking after only three uses is a huge letdown.
I was concerned that the metal tubing would bang around and create a lot of noise, similar to one I had a few years ago. No, it's not at all bad in that regard. Because it's made of aluminum, it's light, attractive, and quiet. It also has the longest hose of any of the models I examined. That is fantastic! I'm waiting for a stool that I ordered, and I wanted to make sure that the spray head could easily reach my feet when I sat down. This is quite lengthy, but it will suffice. At full throttle, the twist water interrupter where the tube meets the handle reduces the flow to almost a trickle, which is far too low for me. Perhaps some of what's in there could be removed, but I believe this would wreak havoc on the interrupter (shut-down). I wanted a shut-off on the handle, so I turned off their interrupter completely. Now I have plenty of flow, but no shut-off on the handle. off. Still, it's not a big deal because I just got a new handle ($8) with a much better button-style shut-off. off. Because the button is located on the spray handle rather than the hose, there is no twisting of anything near the area where a leak could develop over time. The button style shutoff is a far superior option. (Phoenix PF276015 Handheld Sprayer with Single Function) I have one in our fifth wheel and it's fantastic. It's not a good idea to twist a shutoff near the connection point - a lot better So I'm hoping that spray head will fit in this unit's spray holder. It appears to be the case. However, the one on the way is only a single-purpose sprayer, which is all I really need or want. Sprayers with multiple streams are over-used. In my opinion, it has been blown up into something desirable.
To be honest, the only reason I bought the AquaSense 3 shower spray with ultra long stainless steel hose was because it was under $20 and I only needed it to bathe the dogs. However, I find it appealing. The longer hose makes rinsing my hair a lot easier than it is now that we have a rain shower. head of the shower br>br>The 'longer hose on this gets me from my shower pipe in the wall to the end of the bathtub with about a foot left over without stretching, which came in handy when I bathed the dog and he ran to the end of the tub. It's a plus for me that the shower head is lightweight. br>br>On this page, there are only three options. The first one only uses the center holes, resulting in a powerful and concentrated spray. It's what I use to clean the tub. The other setting alternates between using the center and outer holes, resulting in a more powerful center spray than the outer spray. That's my husband's favorite setting, and the last one uses all of the holes equally, so it's just a regular shower spray. br>It's simple to set up. The plumbers tape is given to you to wrap around the pipe so that it fits snugly and does not leak. Because it's packaged to look like a small spool of thread, I didn't recognize it as plumbers tape at first. )br> There are large pictures on the directions showing how to put the shower together, but you can easily figure it out just by looking at the unconnected parts. There is a piece that saves water. br>br> It's red and has small holes in it, making it easy to spot. I just turned it off and don't know how much it will obstruct the sprayer's water flow. The spray would be normal if it didn't have it. The water pressure in the shower head is increased when the faucet is turned up high. Turn the faucet down if you prefer a gentler flow of water. You see what I mean. br>br>There is a piece that can be attached to the sprayer that allows you to turn off the water. If you do not want to screw it on, it is not necessary. It is not required for the shower to function. When I turned off the water with that piece, a small amount of water came out of the shower head. It didn't completely stop the water, but it did significantly slow it down so that it didn't spray all over the place. When I had to stop spraying the dog and clean it up, that feature came in handy. Then, when it was time to rinse the dog, I simply turned the small knob once more. br>br>This product appears to last a long time; the shower head is lightweight but appears to be sturdy. The hose appears to be sturdy as well, and it does not appear to be breaking anytime soon. br>br>I think it's a fantastic deal, especially considering the price. I've only used it twice so far, but if I run into any issues or it breaks, I'll update my review and inform you.
