Mine last for about two months before needing to be replaced. After two months, the water pressure has dropped significantly, and the water has returned to its previous hardness. If your skin is especially sensitive, you might want to change every month. I've tried several brands over the years, and this brand's filter with the silver layer has been the best, but because of the hardness of my water supply, it needs to be changed at least every two months.

Dear customer, br>basically, our shower filter is designed to remove chlorine, iron rust, red worm, and scale, as well as the odor of chlorine. Our shower filter's effectiveness is due to a new blend of filtered components, including KDF55, Active Carbon, and Calcium Sulfite.br>KDF filter components are highly purified zinc and copper alloys. The redox reaction occurs when electrons from the KDF alloy and the pollutant in the water exchange. The conversion of a dangerous component into a safe component occurs when electrons are lost or acquired; for example, chlorine is converted into chloride, while other components, such as lead and other heavy metals, are directly bound by KDF alloy.
We agree that fluoride is difficult to remove from tap water and we could not guarantee 100% filtration, but we can say that the fluoride concentration is reduced
There are a variety of ways to filter/neutralize chloramines, but for a shower filter, a vitamin C type shower filter is probably the easiest. I've used them before and they work well for me because I live in Los Angeles, which has chloramines. The neutralization rate is almost 100%.

This is an amazing filter. This filter, I can assure you, WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY! I was duped and had a fantastic water filtration system installed in my house. Since moving into an apartment seven years ago, I've had terrible skin problems. Itchy, blotchy skin with scales, flakes, rips, and tears. My hair was the same color as the rest of my body. I felt humiliated and down in the dumps. My skin would sting as soon as I got out of the bath or shower. I'd have to slather myself in lotions, creams, and oils, and there are some spots on your body that you just can't reach! As a result, my back continued to hurt and sting. br>I spent tens of thousands of dollars on creams, lotions, oils, and anything else I could think of in an attempt to help. I knew it was my hard, stinky water, but I didn't think I could do anything about it because I lived in an apartment. WRONG! br>br>I literally purchased this filter YESTERDAY, and it was delivered TODAY. I installed it in less than 3 minutes (the most difficult part was unscrewing the showerheads!). After that, I took a shower and stood in the rain like a turkey! The water's quality is immediately apparent! I sobbed uncontrollably, genuine tears of joy! I washed my hair and let it hang down my back, basking in the bliss of clean, soft water. I also only needed about a teaspoon of shampoo, despite the fact that I have LONG, THICK hair! Regardless, there was no burning, itching, or stinging after I finished showering and stepped outside to dry. There are no red blotches on my body at all! My hair is in wonderful condition! My hair isn't itchy or dry, and my scalp isn't stinging! I haven't even applied lotions or oils to my skin! br>br>I beg you to give THIS filter a shot! It even includes a replacement filter! They have excellent customer service (I received an email from them informing me that the filter had arrived and asking me to let them know what I thought). I know I did! And, believe it or not, I received a thank-you email within minutes of sending my email! )br>Please give this filter a shot! I'm not exaggerating when I say that ONE use yielded incredible results. THIS FILTER SHOULD BE TRYED BY EVERYONE WHO HAS SKIN! I'm going to buy more of these (to stockpile) as well as replacement filters!.
I understand how critical it is to remove chemicals such as chlorine and fluoride from our drinking water. br>br>It was very simple to put together with only a few tools, and I was pleased to see that plumbers tape was included with the filter. It took less than five minutes to complete the installation. br>br>I was very pleased, and I've only had one shower so far. It was immediately apparent how much this filter filters out. There was no chlorine odor to be found. The water had been softened in a very obvious way. Soap and shampoo produced a lot more foam. The water had a smooth texture to it. br>br>The previous filter was obviously in need of replacement because I could smell chlorine and my scalp had been burning for a few days. My skin was flaky and dry. After one shower, the problem was gone. br>br>I'm also grateful that they included a backup filter in the package. My old shower filter brand didn't, and the replacement filters were expensive at 32 dollars. br>br>So get this filter, or some sort of filter, because you're a complete moron if you don't. There are a lot of benefits.
The scale left in the distiller by water that had passed through this filter was only slightly lower than tap water. br>br>It was likely a faulty filter, so I notified the company. "Thanks again for your order!" was the glib response I received. Good luck with your day! " There was no offer of a replacement. br>br>Tried to contact them once more - twice, and both times I was ignored. br>br>Even if the filter worked properly, CraterAquaSystems' Customer Service causes me to strongly advise against purchasing this product.
It's too soon to tell how my hair has changed. The hardware, on the other hand, is of excellent quality, is simple to install, and has no effect on the water pressure. This has left a lasting impression on me. I wish I had a chlorine test kit to check the quality of the water. I'll update this review after I've used it for a few months and can comment on how it affected my hair.
The unit arrived in excellent condition and was delivered extremely quickly. It's not difficult to set up. Two washers, a filter in the unit, a spare filter, teflon tape, and a small thank-you gift were all included. The filter eliminated a faint burnt wire type smell that had recently begun when taking showers after just one splash [shower]. If it continues to perform well, it will be considered a success. You have a customer for life!.
I recently relocated, and the new city water was so high in chlorine that it would fill the room with an odor cloud! I purchased this shower filter and was extremely pleased with the outcome! Water that is instantly soft and odorless. I'm very pleased with myself. And what a bargain it is to get out of such a bind- ingesting all of those poisonous chemicals!.
I'm enjoying it so far. I live on Long Island, where the water is extremely hard, and I'd say my hair has become softer as a result of this purchase. I'm not sure if I notice any other differences yet, but I'm hoping this will last the number of showers they claim, and I like that it comes with two filters in total. Tip: It's best to use the washers and tape that come with the kit. If you don't, the bag will leak.
