There was no tension rod we could find long enough for our bedroom wall, but it definitely needs support at the center. I suppose that isn't all that surprising, but I still feel disappointed as a result.
The tension rod is very sturdy. There is not just tension, but it has a metal button that you can push through holes to make it stay put when you want it. A similar method would be to extend tent legs (like tent legs). My deck is shaded in part by those curtains, so I used it to add a little privacy to it.
When I purchased this tension rod, I had hoped that it would serve as a curtain rod that would extend from Although the concept is great, there is one problem the holes are adjustable. The tension is not strong enough to stand up from wall to wall, and the holes do not adjust so that I can adjust it exactly where I need it. It would have been better if it was just a spring in the middle. Even if there is no support in the middle, the whole thing will fall down. As long as the design changes it will be perfect. If they change it, i would give it an A.
I can easily use them for the application I am trying to use The afternoon sun was streaming into my sunroom and I needed to block it out. It is now possible for me to see my television. It was a long expanse to cover and I did not want to drill any holes in the brick wall, so I used pressure springs.
It was frustrating to trudge over a large set of stands in my small studio because they took up much too much space. In the space as it turns out, this product fitted over the cloth background and was able to span the entire width. With only one inch of floor space taken up by the cloth as it hangs, the cloth has become incredibly compact.
My daughter's playroom and my guest bedroom share a large bonus room, which I would like to take advantage of as a guest room and playroom. It was the only curtain rod that could be used. Although I thought it might sag in the middle, it is made very strong and can hold the room divider curtains with no problems.
It fell over a couple of times when I first put it up, but eventually it stayed up. I bought this product about 3 months ago and have been waiting to do a review. Suddenly 2 days ago (after 3 months) it shifted from the spot I had it. . . only for me to be awoken by a loud noise this morning. Crashing down, he fell out of the sky. I apologize for buying it, but I should have chosen another option from the list I saw. It is impractical for the holes to be spaced this closely.
Considering that the metal is far too heavy, the tension rod cannot use it, either. And I have blackout curtains, but they are white, so they aren't nearly My curtain wouldn't stay in place even with no curtains and I tried sticky tape on the back of the end pads, but it didn't work. Heavy duty tape on the back didn't work either I'm talking about 80 lbs. of Invest your money in something worthwhile instead of wasting it!.
