I have a Fitbit Charge 2 that I've had for about two years. It has never been a problem for me. However, during a recent trip to Disney World, I noticed the band was pulling away from the frame on one side, eventually becoming unattached while returning to O'Hare from Orlando. I put the fitbit in my pocket and looked up the price of a new fitbit band when we got home. Hmmm - $29. I did what any Amazon addict would do and paid $99 for a replacement band. To find a replacement, look on Amazon. br>br>There are a lot of replacement bands available on Amazon from sellers who aren't affiliated with Fitbit, so there are a lot of options. Many of them provide a package that includes multiple bands. I don't need multiple bands; I just need one to replace my old one, but this package, which included four, had the best price for something that looked similar to what I got with my Fitbit. So, I took a chance and chose the color combination I wanted, then waited for the package to arrive; here are my thoughts and experiences with these replacement bands. 1) The seller states in the product description that the frame is not included, implying that those who complained that the package did not include a frame for the Fitbit did not read the product description. I planned on reusing the Charge 2's frame. br>2) The package's bands resemble the original in appearance. They appear to be made of a different material than the original, one that isn't quite as soft - The material is a little stiffer, so putting the band on the fitbit frame can be clumsy until you figure out how to hold the frame to get the pins to slide into the holes in the frame to secure the band. br>3) These bands are about the same length as the original, but come up about a quarter inch shorter. There are plenty of slots to get the right fit on your wrist, so it's not a big deal. I ordered the Large size because my wrist is 15 inches in circumference. I still have 7 open slots before the end of the band in which to expand the size, and I'm only using the fourth slot from the frame, so there's plenty of room for larger wrists. br>4) While we're on the subject of pins, take care when removing the bands from their packaging. Each band has a pin that is inserted into the slot that connects to the fitbit frame, but the pins easily fall out. So, when you take a band out of the package, be careful not to lose a pin that has fallen out. br>5) As a result, when I first tried to align the pin in the new band so that it would fit into the frame slots, I was frustrated by my inability to complete the task. It took me a while to figure it out, but once I did, the pin slipped right into the holes on each side of the frame slot and fit perfectly. The key is to insert the pin first, then adjust the band position so that it slides into the frame slot in the same position it will be used every time. It slides into the slot, then the pin into its little hole, and the spring end can be detracted and snapped into the other hole when everything is in place. You may find yourself cursing until the job is finished, but if done correctly, the pin will not fall out of the holes and the band will not come off. I've had mine on for a few days and have had no issues with it. br>br>In the end, I don't need all those bands because I can't see myself fiddling with the pins to change bands. However, I now have backups in case these don't hold up, as the seller claims they come with an 18-month warranty. warranty period of one month I'm hoping I'll never need it. If the one I'm wearing now wears out faster than I expected, I'll be able to replace it with one of the three extra bands I have on hand. For the time being, I believe these are excellent replacement bands at a reasonable price, and they may outlast my Fitbit. Only time will tell if this is true. However, I am pleased with the item I purchased from this seller.
I expected cheap material for this price, but what I got was both cheap material and a product that couldn't even be used for its intended purpose. These bands have repeatedly disconnected from the metal rectangle that holds the blaze during the last 24 hours, causing it to fall off my wrist. They are useless.
It appears that you will receive bands in addition to the frame, so I was disappointed when I opened the box and only found bands. I had to pay 50% of the cost of shipping it back because I returned it and had to pay 50% of the cost of shipping it back because I had to pay 50% This does not make me happy.
I took a risk and now I'm glad I did. You should do the same. I thought it was a little wider, but it isn't. Someone mentioned that they were missing a pin, and I thought that was interesting. Because I wasn't there, I'm sure it fell to the floor, but if I were, I'd use one of the other three bands! It's not a hard material, but it's a little tougher; I'm sure it'll soften up in a few days. This product, in my opinion, is well worth trying.
8mo each. I was glad I purchased this multipack. They're comfortable to wear and easy to clean (though if you sweat a lot or get your wrist wet, they may begin to smell). However, it is a long-lasting product. However, I've found that after about 8 months, especially if you only use it in one of the holes for size and don't alternate, the band begins to break at that bend point, and eventually snaps and breaks. For the price, that's perfectly acceptable, but keep in mind that they don't last the entire year, especially considering you remove it at least once a week. Overall, I'm pleased with it, and it does protect my watch. Simply purchase some glass protectors, and your watch should last for at least six months. For a period of eight months at a time.
I honestly don't think I would have known the difference between these bands and the ones that came with my Fitbit if they hadn't been given to me in their original packaging. The black band snapped the first night I wore it, but the other three have held up admirably. I'd say it's still a good deal considering I got four bands for about $12, or even three with one breaking, versus paying $15 to $20 for one.
Today I received my Vancle replacement bands. I thought I'd like them at first. br>The items arrived on time, were well-packaged, and were exactly as described in terms of color. The band is wider than the original Fitbit band, and the plastic material is a little stiff at first, but I expect it to loosen up with use. After opening the bands, I discovered that half of the black band was missing the necessary pin for attaching the band to the watch frame. Understandably, I'm disappointed because this is the band I'd most likely listen to. I'll update this review after I've worn the bands for a while to see how well they hold up.
I'm not sure how long I wore the gold band replacement, but it was probably a year or two. It finally snapped the other day while I was doing some strenuous yard work. My FitBit and band, as well as my hands and arms, are not gentle. I wear my FitBit all the time, with the exception of when I'm in the shower or tub, so it gets a lot of use. I'd recommend these bands, especially for the price and the number of bands you get for that price; I've been happy with them. My son broke his FitBit band a year before I did, so having replacements on hand has been a godsend; my mother needed one of mine about six months ago.
