Is this suitable for children's wrists?

Yes! The grey part of the magic band can be peeled away to make it smaller for a smaller child's wrist.

Is this a bright yellow color? Or do you want it to look like a canary yellow?

Regrettably, canary. Neon was not what I expected.

Every time I used it, I loved the little "surprise experience" it provided! One note: This color is more chartreuse than yellow, but it's still beautiful!.
