In terms of supplements, I consider myself to be fairly knowledgeable, but this was a lot more than I expected. After reading a lot of articles about manganese deficiency, I purposely purchased this lower dose manganese to try. It had a strong, negative impact on me right away. Palpitations in my chest, agitation, anxiety, overwhelm, and dizziness were all part of my reaction. I'm hoping that taking just one dose won't have any long-term consequences. This one is not to be messed with. If you haven't already done so, look up manganese toxicity. Taking too much can be dangerous, and the 8 mg in this supplement is considered a fairly high dose by many standards.

Using this supplement should be done with caution. I had a severe migraine and strange muscle twitching after using it. When I looked up side effects, I discovered that this medication should only be taken under the supervision of a physician and that the risk of toxicity is extremely high.

I was ecstatic when I first began using this supplement a few months ago! Addison's Disease is a rare autoimmune disease that I suffer from. The medication may cause brain fog as one of its side effects. I was able to refocus thanks to the manganese! I was overjoyed until I began to experience severe migraines twice a week after a few months of taking it. I'm going to take a break from it for a few months and then switch to a different brand with a lower dose.

Manganese's benefits in bone health (among other things) have only recently come to my attention. I have severe osteoporosis, and my preferred calcium supplement does not contain manganese, so I'm supplementing with this every day in the hopes that it will help. It's one of those things where it's difficult to predict- How will I know if it's working or how will I be able to measure its effectiveness? However, it causes no harm, and the prospect of doing some good is sufficient motivation for me.
