My wife was given a pill to help with her high blood pressure. After 26 days, a blood test revealed that her liver function had decreased by about half. As a new RA Warrior (Rheumatoid Arthritis) myself, I'm only now beginning to understand the delicate balancing act that this all entails. Methotrexate has been a part of my life for four months. An increase in liver enzymes was discovered in a recent lab study, indicating that, despite the metho. Because it is working well to relieve the pain, swelling, and stiffness associated with RA, my rheumatologist recommended that I reduce my metho dose. Pain, swelling, and stiffness have returned in some cases since then. I'm exhausted all of the time. I was hoping that taking Milk Thistle would help my liver deal with the onslaught of Methotrexate, which is a poison but keeps my immune system in check because RA is an auto immune disease. Until the results of my liver labs come back at the end of the month, I guess the verdict is still out. This product's manufacturer appears to be trustworthy and trustworthy.
