It aids in the cleansing of the liver.
There appears to be some ambiguity in these responses. Gel capsules are what you're looking for. The capsules are powder-filled rather than liquid-filled.

This product was fantastic the first time I purchased it. Over the course of a few months, the health of my liver and the results of my blood tests have improved. My most recent purchase was a very different product, with a different color (should be a little yellow) and a different smell (should smell like clover) than the previous one. This supplement has been reformulated and no longer contains at least 80% sylimarin than before. There is now a LOT of rice flour in it. If you open the capsule, you can smell and taste rice, so don't buy it unless you want to swallow some pricey rice capsules!.
1 250mg". br>br>Silymarin is one of the main active ingredients in Milk Thistle extract, and it is thought to be responsible for the majority of Milk Thistle's health benefits. Several Doctors have stated that when looking for Milk Thistle extract, make sure that it is labeled as AT LEAST "80% Silymarin" to ensure the potency of the extract. %3 Nutricost does not manufacture the product, according to the representative. re-sell only label it. At my request, he said he would contact their manufacturer to determine the current " of Silymarin" now contained in the extract capsules using the information he received from their I had him spell out my email address for me - That was 7 weeks ago on October 1, 2018, and I have yet to hear from Nutricost via phone or email. (Before deleting an e-mail, I always check my spam folder. ) e-mails that have been redirected to the spam folder) I also emailed Nutricost's on-line customer service with the same question. On October 21, 2018, I contacted the customer service site (via their form) and received no response. br>br>The back of the bottle now has a detail label that reads, "Milk Thistle 4: 1 250mg". "4:1" is an example of a ratio. "30: 1" or "1: 1" The "1" or other ratio simply indicates how much more potent the capsules are than the original Milk Thistle plant from which they were derived - It doesn't tell you the of Silymarin that is contained in the final pill extract in the bottle in any way. These "ratios" on the bottle label are simply marketing ploys to make people believe that the higher the ratio, the more "potent" the extract contained in the bottle is. Consider the following scenario: If a Milk Thistle plant contained 5% Silymarin and was refined 10,000 times (Ratio: 10: 1), 50% Silymarin would be 50% the refined extract of the extract of the refined extract of the However, if a Milk Thistle plant contained 10% Silymarin and was refined 5 times (Ratio: 1), it would become a 50% Silymarin extract as well - As you can see, the ratio has no bearing on the potency of the final extract that will be put into the bottle - Unless you know how strong the Milk Thistle plant was when it was refined. I've never come across any reference to the original plant's strength, which would make the "ratio" a useful number.
Here is an alternative product from here on Amazon that still labels their Milk Thistle extract as "80% br>br> br> br> br> br> br>.
For good health, this is an excellent combination. It comes highly recommended.
When I take it, I feel a lot better. When I don't, I'm more sluggish, which I notice. I'm taking milk thistle because it's said to be the best supplement for diabetics. The bottle will keep you going for a long time.
My fiance suffers from liver disease, and his enzymes were rising before he started taking this. I knew milk thistle was good for liver detox, so I suggested he talk to his doctor about it. His physician's assistant had never heard of it before, but after doing some research, she saw the benefits and gave her approval. I looked up the recommended dosage for him and determined that 250 mg twice a day would be sufficient. CHANGE OF DIET (LOW SODIUM) WITHIN A WEEK OF TAKENING MILK THISTLE His enzymes dropped dramatically as a result of the sugar and exercise! It's a shame that doctors aren't more knowledgeable about supplements; they're only interested in big pharma. Yes, medications are important, but herbs are as well. dietary supplements If you have liver problems, I strongly advise you to include milk thistle in your daily routine!.
Obviously, I have health issues, and after trying other brands, including seeds, misleading potency, and so on, I've come to the conclusion that I have health issues. This brand works great! It's organic, doesn't contain any harmful ingredients, and it's a good price. br>I highly recommend this Milk Thistle.
It has proven to be effective, as my blood work test results show improved liver function.
This was fantastic because it appeared to be effective. It appeared to be detoxing my system, but the only problem I had was that I developed an allergic reaction, similar to what I experience when Spring arrives. If you are allergic to ragweed, you should avoid it or take another route. I apparently do, despite the fact that I was completely unaware of it. I've been able to keep taking it in smaller doses every other day, and it appears to be working fine. br>br>One of the reasons I wanted to take this was to help get all the sugar and junk out of my system after Christmas (I was on a no-sugar/gluten diet at the time). Cleaning out your liver, on the other hand, benefits the function of many other organs, including your thyroid. I have hypothyroidism and am frequently tired, plus I believe that now that I'm on medication, my weight should be more stable. Detoxing has helped me tremendously in this regard, and I am feeling much better as a result. br>br>I wouldn't take this with a prescription because it can "detox" the prescription as well. In the morning, I take my prescription, and at night, I take this.
