I'm not sure how many calories this product contains because it's been so long since I purchased it. However, I can attest to the fact that it was both expensive and ineffective for me.
On the bottle's label, it says exactly that. 100% vegetarian, none-liquid phyto caps 450 mg of genetically modified organism (GMO) per three capsules
For the best processing, Gaia uses the best plants at the right time.

This milk thistle differs from all others in that it is extracted with carbon dioxide liquid gas. Super critical extraction is the name of the technique. As a result, a liquid resin with the active ingredients of the milk thistle seed is left over. ALL OF THE ACTIVE PARTS. Not only silymarin, but also other fat- and water-soluble compounds found in milk thistle seeds. br>br>Check out my other reviews; I'm not affiliated with Gaia, but I do work in the supplement industry and am familiar with the various brands. br>br>If this milk thistle doesn't work, don't waste your time trying another. I've been using Gaia Milk Thistle for about two years and Milk Thistle products for over twenty-five years. When my favorite brand went out of business, I switched to other brands (including one from Walmart), and my liver enzymes spiked. My liver enzymes (ALT) have improved since taking Gaia Milk Thistle. My AST levels returned to normal, and my viral HBV quant numbers dropped from millions to a few tens of thousands. 50000 Because I am a HBV carrier with vertical transmission, I need to take care of my liver, and until a cure for HBV is discovered, I use Gaia Milk Thistle to keep a close eye on my liver's health.
Since I was about ten years old, I've been suffering from acne. My skin improved in my twenties, but after the birth of my son in April 2015, my hormones were out of whack, and my skin was the worst it had ever been. Nothing has worked for me to get rid of my acne. Creams, cleansers, serums, and the like. I stopped washing my face completely and instead used honey, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, and other natural remedies, as well as inositol, vitex, various vitamins, a variety of probiotics, cod liver oil, and other supplements. br>br>I can tell my acne is healing after only ONE WEEK of using this milk thistle. I didn't even take it on a daily basis, and I only took one capsule instead of the three recommended by the product package. I've only had a couple of new bumps along my jawline, and it's all because of PMS and my period! br>br>This stuff makes me feel fantastic as well! As if I were capable of conquering the entire world. I take it before bed and wake up feeling great. The only issue is that if I take it too frequently, it causes me to have terrible insomnia. like cleaning the house at 3 a. m. with insomnia So I reduced my dose to every other night, and that was enough to get rid of the problem. If anything changes in the future, I'll update this review, but if you have acne and haven't found anything that works, give this a try! When your milk thistle arrives in the mail, you'll know you're getting old. br>This is a fantastic brand. It's wonderful to come across products of consistently high quality. br>I'm grateful in so many ways.
I'm not sure why flavor is mentioned in the review, but if you let them dissolve in your mouth, they don't taste bad. This is the only Milk Thistle product for which I can vouch for its efficacy. I worked in the health/nutrition industry for over 6 years, and I've seen people recover from liver scirroscis by using only this product, water, and a liquid diet (scirroscis makes digestion extremely difficult). If you're a heavy drinker, a bodybuilder, have lost your appetite, are getting older, or are just concerned about your overall health, this is one of the few supplements I would recommend.
I ordered some for my mother's liver, and it has helped, along with Gaia Herbs' Daily Fiber Cleanse and eating oatmeal, among other things. She had a checkup about a year ago. Her liver was still fat two months ago, but it was less fat than it had been the previous time she had a checkup. As a result, I placed a second order. After some time has passed since I took these, I will let you all know what my results are.

The outer layer of the capsule does not degrade in order for the milk thistle to be absorbed. Although part of the blue/green layer of the capsule disintegrates over time, the final layer does not, so these are simply passing through your stool. br>br>The manufacturer must address this because they are currently not breaking down to be absorbed, resulting in a waste of money.
