The answer to your question is I am not sure. Despite having a milk allergy, what I do know is that it is very severe. As far as I know, this is the only supplement I've found to specifically target milk protein, fat, and sugar. The effects are noticeable even if it is taken The stuff works like a charm for me and I keep it with me all the time.
It seemed to be an agent to help with lactose intolerance. Lactose is not actual lactose, is it?
Gluten is not claimed to be in this product nor is it a gluten-free product.

I decided to try NOW instead of Lactaid because I was tired of paying the outrageous price for Lactaid. When reading reviews I was pleased by the results I saw, so I ordered the product. I made a milkshake and took two of the NOW Dairy Digest Complete as advised, then sipped the drink. There are between 20 and 25 A mere 40 minutes after starting my regimen, the old familiar cramps arose and I soon found myself doubled over in pain, exactly what happens when I eat dairy products without supplementing with calcium to break down Lactose. The last time I had this experience was many years ago, as I was careful at the time and believed, based on what I read, the NOW product was effective. There is no action. Please beware of the following dangers For those who suffer from lactose intolerance, this is not the panacea. As a matter of fact, I only say this to potentially save you from the painful experience I had when I purchased a product that didn't work at all, ruining my otherwise wonderful.
Changing dairy to the word "gas" would be better since this is applicable to all gas sources Currently I'm on my third bottle. At this rate I'll be producing food like milk, hot cocoa, popcorn, Coke, grapes, apples, watermelons, etc. (May I say "fart" Due to the fact that I'm so excited! Trying these is a good idea if Lact-aid type solutions do not work for you. I used to think ice cream was something I couldn't have anymore until I obtained these. When eating dairy products, I would still end up doubled over in pain and then spend the rest of the night in the bathroom after eating ice cream. Lactate enzyme pills helped a lot with the problems, but I still ended up in the bathroom after eating ice cream. I'm glad to agree after reading reviews here that indicate improvements in that area. In the end, I am happy with the pictures. I took two of these before going out to get a Reeses Cup blizzard last night. When I first started eating, my stomach did seem a little unsettled, but to my surprise, it didn't hurt or cause problems whatsoever. It has been almost 24 hours since I ate the ice cream and I have no trouble at all. Supplements such as Lact-aid should be used if Lact-aid does not work. Here are some that you might like. There is no guarantee I'll no longer develop cysts after dairy consumption, but I experience WAY less pain and WAY fewer cysts after dairy consumption. The purpose of writing this review is to help someone else with the same problem. Usually, I do not eat dairy for the duration of the day, but I take these pills before a meal that contains dairy. It was in November when I received the pills. The first time I did it was with creamy pasta and garlic bread, clam chowder, etc. to test it and see if it works for me, and I'm very surprised at how my face isn't breakout in cysts after eating.
It would have been more wise to read the label closely before buying instead of just checking the cost This contains 1000 units of lactase enzyme per capsule, which is in contrast to Lactaid capsules and similar products which contain 3000 or 9000 units and cost roughly the same. Despite the fact that Lactaid recommends 9000 units per meal if it is consumed with dairy, the drug labels on these show that one pill with 1000 units is sufficient. This is something I wouldn't recommend trying!
To be fair, these do contain some other enzymes for fat and protein, but if lactase isn't working well enough for you when you eat dairy, you might need those. The overall overall deal isn't valuable unless you need those other enzymes as well I don't know.

I now prefer the NOW Foods brand. I like that they are easy to swallow, without a taste, and that they work for me consistently. Please take note The dosage depends on the amount of lactose you consume. Therefore, you will consume more or fewer servings Get creative and try out a few to see what works best.
Milk is broken down not only for lascose, but also for all the other components. I have finally found a supplement that works on my dairy digestion on all levels. I keep tiny capsules in my purse that fit in a small container. Many of them go through my body and I no longer get bloated and sick.
