In the container, it states the product is made and distributed by Herbal Secrets of Jersey City, NJ, who also owns the company. The product is made in the United States. However, there is no indication where this information comes from. Additionally, it says it is certified by the Natural Food Certifiers to be organic and that it is 100% natural. In spite of this, the label contains a WARNING at the back. The consumption of this product can expose one to a chemical known to the state of California. It is a crime to cause CANCER or reproduced harm! This is unimaginable!
The presence of gluten can be caused by cross contamination in the manufacturing, processing, or packaging processes. You do not buy unless the product is certified gluten-free by a recognized certification agency if you are celiac. The label says gluten-free, but you do not buy until it is certified by a recognized certification agency. There are several companies out there that will state their products do not contain gluten but also state that they have been processed in a dedicated facility where wheat and other ingredients are also processed. Being celiac, I realize that it makes a difference to the taste.

The psyllium husk from Walmart warned that it could contain lead. I ordered this product in order to avoid ingestion of The product stated it was organic, so I assumed it would be okay. It goes without saying that they intentionally deleted the warning that says this product may cause cancer from the advertisement. There's a warning right under the ingredients, but most people wouldn't see it until after they have purchased. There is no excuse for this kind of behavior. The package is on its way.
To show the bottle but leave out the "WARNING" makes no sense to me. As this product contains Lead, which has been shown to cause cancer and birth defects and a variety of reproductive problems, you may be exposed to its toxins. A DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING IDEA!.
Due to the amount of sugar in Metamucil and the fact that I do not indulge in artificial sweeteners, I bought this product. The organic nature of this appealed to me.
