Product Description

Vitamin D is normally obtained from the diet or produced by the skin in response to ultraviolet radiation from the sun. It has the highest potency and aids in the maintenance of strong bones. Food, on the other hand, is scarce.
Vitamin D supplementation is becoming increasingly important as more people avoid sun exposure, ensuring that your body receives an adequate supply of vitamin D.
Non-GMO, halal, and kosher (contains gelatin) classifications/certifications
NPA A-rated GMP certification means that every aspect of the NOW manufacturing process, including our laboratory/testing methods (for stability, potency, and product formulation), has been thoroughly examined.
Since 1968, a family-owned and operated business has been packaging the product in the United States.
Although products may arrive warm during the summer, Amazon stores and ships them in accordance with manufacturer recommendations when available.

Questions & Answers

Is this soft gel larger than the 1000 IU soft gel, and if so, how large is it?

Thank you for reaching out to us. The softgels are only a fraction of the size of the 1000IU D3 gel, so there's no need to be concerned unless you have trouble swallowing them. br>As someone who struggled to swallow ANY pills, capsules, or solids until I was 40, I can attest to the fact that these are small and easy to swallow.

I'd like to know what the ingredients are. ?

according to the label Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) - (derived from lanolin) ingredients not mentioned above: extra virgin olive oil made from organically grown olives; gelatin, water, glycerin) and softgel capsule (gelatin, water, glycerin).

What is the expiration date of a purchase made in March 2017?

If you need an expiration date, call customer service at NOW company. There is a date on the bottom of the bottle that says "best by" 09/2019 ect. It's possible that's the best option for you.

What is the product's expected expiration date?

The Best By date is different for each lot of NOW products. This does not necessarily imply that using the product will cause harm, but rather that the quality or potency may no longer meet the same NOW standards.

Unless you're allergic to lanolin, these are good ingredients at a good price
5/5

I've been buying vitamin D supplements for a family member who is deficient, and the NOW Vitamin D3 2000 IU softgels have proven to be a great deal. Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Vitamin D3 2000 IU (as Cholecalciferol from 50 mcg Lanolin), and Softgel Capsule (bovine gelatin, water, glycerin) are the active ingredients. I like how NOW uses anti-inflammatory olive oil. MCTs, coconut oil, soy oil, corn syrup, and any number of other unfavorable ingredients that I see in vitamin D supplements are inflammatory, rather than MCTs, coconut oil, soy oil, corn syrup, and any number of other unfavorable ingredients that I see in vitamin D supplements. Like most D3 supplements, this vitamin D3 is derived from lanolin. Allergies to vitamin D3 derived from lanolin have been reported by some people who are allergic to wool or lanolin. If you're allergic to lanolin, you might want to try vitamin D3 from fish oil, which is more expensive. br>br>One of my relatives keeps track of her 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels in her blood. hydroxyvitamin D, and two of these softgels per day keep her levels right where she wants them, indicating that it is well absorbed, despite the fact that she doesn't normally take it with food. It's probably beneficial that vitamin D is found in oil because it's fat-soluble. Because it is fat soluble, it is better absorbed when consumed with fats. If you need a lower or higher dose, NOW has 1000 IU and 5000 IU doses of vitamin D3 with the same ingredients. Naturewise, Doctor's Best, and Just Potent are examples of other brands with comparable ingredients; however, the NOW brand is widely available and very reasonably priced, so I am happy to return to this brand. Each softgel is 11mm long.

It's not working: When I first started taking it, all of my low-D3 symptoms reappeared
3/5

I felt better after switching to another brand. When those ran out, I came across the NOW brand in my cupboard and decided to give them another shot. I'm crashing again after a week or two! THESE DO NOT WORK AT ALL! This seemed like a good company to me. I'm extremely dissatisfied and wish I could receive a refund!.

These don't seem to be working for me
3/5

I try not to criticize products, but I just wanted to share my experience with these Vitamin D3 pills. My Vitamin D levels were tested, and they were on the low end of normal, so she recommended that I take 2,000IU. She gave me a list of brands that she thought were good, and one of them was the NOW brand. I began to feel strange after the second day, and after four days, I couldn't take it any longer. All of my NOW supplements have been discontinued. I was experiencing increased anxiety as well as a great deal of mental fog. It scared me a lot, and I'm not sure if it was just my body's reaction to it, but it made me feel awful. My mother began taking them as well because she is vitamin D deficient, and she stated that she began to feel the same way I did. We felt normal again after only a week without them. I'm not going to take these vitamin D supplements or any other NOW supplements ever again.

This is a magical pill that you should include in your daily routine! My husband's vitamin D levels were found to be low in recent bloodwork
5/5

I bought it for him, but I began to use it myself. I've noticed a significant change in my mood. I felt like I was suffering from a mild case of depression (possibly seasonal)? I don't feel that way anymore, and I'm much more optimistic (I used to have a lot of negative thoughts). I'm also not as sick as I used to be. Because I suffer from an autoimmune disease, I have a lot of sick days. It's a magic pill in a bottle, and I haven't been sick since I started taking it. It is unquestionably worth a shot. Overall, I'm feeling much better.

I wish I had inquired about the ingredient list from the seller
3/5

I'm vegan and had no idea this contained bovine gelatin; there's no ingredient list anywhere in the listing, and the seller won't let me return it; just a heads up for anyone who is vegetarian or vegan. I'm going to toss the product that hasn't been opened.

Now is the time to take Vitamin D
3/5

3 (2000IU) was found to be ineffective. My D-level was checked out by my doctor. At 33NG/ml, the values were a little low, according to three levels. She recommended that I take 3000IU of D-ascorbic acid. 3 daily. So I bought a supplement from the Now brand (seller: ). Amazon) in the month of May. For 6 months, I took 2 capsules (4000IU) per day and then re-dosed. I put my D- to the test. Surprisingly, my values were lower, at 27NG/ml (despite taking 1000IU more than my doctor recommended). Unfortunately, this product failed to improve my Vitamin D deficiency. Increased by three levels.

Strange Smell Another reviewer has a point that I must concur with
3/5

Even with Prime, these took a long time to arrive; I agree after opening the bottle. They do have a foul odor. It was a huge let down. I'm sorry, but I'm not able to recommend anything anymore.

The product appears to be of high quality - There are no fillers in the garbage! I had been taking a liquid Vit D3 supplement for years, but the orange 'flavor' began to make me nauseous (or something else made me sick)
4/5

So I bought these, despite the fact that I still have two bottles of the orange-flavored stuff. There was no negative reaction, and the ingredients were all very clean. When I get bloodwork again, I'll see how well they work. I'm no longer eating anything with a 'flavor,' natural or otherwise.
