The product contains high levels of both benfotiamine and thiamine, not to mention the fact that this product provides both of them. There is no way this is rational. The brain utilizes thiamine for a specific purpose. Glucose serves as a kind of grease for brain cells so that they can use it as an energy source. This is done based on a rate-limiting mechanism. Suppose there was a benefit to using benfotiamine rather than thiamine, could there be one? Maybe so. There is a possibility that it can penetrate into fattier brain tissues more effectively than thiamine alone. However, it is dangerous to take so much. It is also not adequately labeled as a medication you should avoid taking if you have anxiety disorders. Having to go to the hospital caused me to have a serious anxiety attack.
