For quite some time now, I have been suffering from a form of neuropathy- I have pain in my lower legs and feet in particular. It may have been from taking statins (Zocor for years) or it may have been from taking My walking and even standing up can sometimes be a nightmare due to Type 2 Diabetes (also likely a result of the Zocor). As I was taking it for the first time, I didn't notice much change, but I continued to take it anyway, hoping that it might kick in sooner rather than later. It was only after 3 months I began to wonder if it actually worked, and having been advised that "if you are taking a supplement and are unsure if it will work, stop taking it and see if any changes occur", I stopped taking it. My feet and lower legs began to feel very weak and numb as soon as I started experiencing that pain. In general, I became numb to the point where I almost fell, lost my balance, and generally had a horrible time of it. I then started using Benfotiamine again to verify the results after having already established the fact that my life was quite miserable without it. It was pretty overwhelming how gorgeous the result was in a little over a day. The balance and stability of my walking was much better and I could walk with ease and strength again. I mentioned my Benfotiamine experiment to my wife and she told me, "Never stop taking it again!" when I remarked that I had been "walking much better". She wanted to know what I had done differently, so I told her about the experiment. She is right, and I have to agree. It's usually 3 of the 300mg capsules per day for me. As a synthetic vitamin B-complex, it basically doesn't do much When it comes to vitamin 1 (or Thiamine), it is quite safe to exceed the recommended dosage Despite this, I have not added another 300mg capsule to see if the improvement would even be increased, but I am just taking the 900mg dosage that I have for now. For the moment, I am just enjoying the benefits I am receiving from the 900mg dosage. Yes, I did visit my Neurologist today, and he said that B-is probably just a bit hyperactive A 1 is a safe number. The answer may not be so obvious. In order to get the best sleep, I drink a Zipfizz in the morning for potassium and take a Benfotiamine before bed. I went from sleeping 2 hours to sleeping 8 hours a night after following Dr Berg's (youtube) recommendations. I'm so happy I found this product! The product description indicated that my wife is sensitive to a number of ingredients in this product. That is why it was purchased. It was surprising that the "other" ingredients on the product when we received it contained rice flour, an ingredient that was not listed when we bought.

An update is provided here. The last time I wrote about Benfotiamine was a month ago, answering a question. I have used another brand for years, with success, for neuropathy. Since I have been taking this product about three weeks, I have noticed an improvement in my health. Because of the price, the dosage, and the fact that it was made in the USA, I purchased 3 bottles. Those other two I ordered and they should be here on Monday. My nerves are on fire. You are wasting your money if you do this.
