I haven't tried Therabreath mouthwash, so I can't comment on it. I've been using Smartmouth Clinical for about a year and have had great dental checkups and healthier gums as a result. I love this product and recommend it to everyone.
When you remove the plastic wrap, a thin piece of wrop must be removed (cut) in order for the cap to "snap" on. I simply ran a sharp knife around the area, and the top snapped into place.

Yes, two boxes were delivered to me. A one bottle and a two bottle with pumps and a cup were included in each box.

I've been using this product for a long time and have found it to be quite effective. I'm not sure if the design of the dispenser on the top of the bottle has changed, but the latest bottle I received leaks all over the place and does not mix the contents one to one as it should when you pour them out, so the fluid always comes out of one side of the package only. Because this product is made up of two liquids that must be mixed before use, only half of it can be dispensed. In addition, if you only use half of the bottle, the product is worth half as much. Anyone who has used this product before will understand what I mean. Because Amazon will not accept returns on this, I would purchase it from a store that will accept returns if the packaging is defective. Otherwise, purchase two bottles and manually combine them. This design is ineffective because it was poorly engineered and executed.
There are two materials in the bottles. Three of the six bottles in the order would not come out of the bottle, so I had to discard them. In July, I placed an order for two Smartmouth 2-packs. Two of the four bottles had the same issue. I've been using the product for over a decade. I don't want to waste my money, so I'll go out and buy some more mouthwash.
I had to figure out how to fix the problem in the first bottle, and I wasted a lot of the clear liquid side trying to get it to pour freely. Please look into this. Everything is fine, except for the bottle.
It's a pain to deal with the faulty pouring design - Because the clear liquid does not pour out, you are left with only the green liquid. I had to separate the two containers, which was extremely inconvenient for someone like me who is always on the go. The packaging, of course, was not designed for the user to do this, so the entire process was a disaster.
SmartMouth is made up of two fluids that come out of two bottles and combine to make an active product; at first, only the green liquid would come out. The vent hole for the clear liquid appeared to be blocked at first. (I thought) I used a toothpick to clean out the vent. To pour, I mixed 2 parts clear with 3 parts green. The clear liquid refused to pour after my next meal. There was no clear in my Dixie cup, only the green. No clear came out when I turned the bottle upside down and placed my finger over the green spout. Now I have a "bottle" full of 95% clear and 30% green water. SmartMouth is a useless product that has cost me $12. I would give it a rating of -. If the Big A allowed it, I'd give it a one-star rating.
The product itself is fine; my husband and I have been using it for years; however, the packaging is horrendous. It's difficult for the elderly to open, and the green liquid always runs out before the clear liquid, resulting in waste for a not-inexpensive product. br>The old two-bottle design was easier to use and produced no waste; you can still get it in the two-bottle form for a ridiculous price, but it's not a good alternative.
br>br>I've had to throw away two bottles because one of the spouts was blocked the last two times I opened one of these bottles, rendering the product useless. This is the first time something like this has occurred to me. Quality Control appears to have broken down. br>br>I have one more bottle at home, so I'll try it. However, it appears that I will have to change products, which is discouraging.
I've been using this product for years and love it. However, the clear liquid component of the last two bottles I opened was defective, and it would not pour out of the bottle. The only liquid that came out was the green one. The product/purchase became useless as a result of this. I'm hoping this is just a blip on the radar, or that they figure out what's causing the issue.
