Although there is a smell to this item, it is not overpowering. I've used it a few times and find it to be one of the gentlest relaxers on the market.
If you still haven't gotten rid of it, rewash your hair with the neutralizing shampoo. If this is the case, simply shampoo your hair as usual.

My hair is covered in love. It's kid strength, which means it won't burn your hair and isn't very powerful, but I prefer that for my hair. It only detangles it, not dries it out, burns it, or causes it to become brittle.
Natural oils are present in this product. This book comes highly recommended.
That isn't the case. The product shown in the image is not the same as the one shown here. This is a terrible situation. It isn't the same thing at all. The one in this photo is excellent. Because I live in Peru, I won't be able to return it.

It took me about 10 minutes to apply this to my fine hair (I have a longer pixie cut, so it wasn't long). I'm really pleased with how shiny, smooth, and strong my hair still feels after following the directions perfectly with the awesome before treatment application and after with the very rich neutralizing shampoo and conditioner (which took about four washes with much scrubbing). I followed up with a Davines hair mask (Nounou), and I'm now very happy with the results, which are both gentle and effective.
I require this perm, but the cost is exorbitant.
