Even though I've used this product for years, I ordered a different one to test whether it was as effective as Orajel. It was a paste rather than gel and did not work in the least when I tested it over a It took 24 hours for Orojel to begin working after purchasing it again.
The only thing I didn't like about Orajel was the taste which forced me to visit the dentist as quickly as possible. I was relieved to learn it quickly managed to relieve the pain after biting down on an infected tooth. The emergency feature is very useful, however.
