It doesn't have a pleasant flavor. When you first put this on and it's still wet, don't lick your lips. Gross.
This is a lip balm. Zilactin- Inside the mouth is represented by the letter B.
Zilactin- Benzocaine, a local anesthetic (pain reliever), is found in B. Zilactin, on the other hand, doesn't have this property.
That method only works for one layer; if you've been putting it on frequently, you'll need to soak it in warm water for a long time, preferably while showering, until it's soft to the touch, at which point you can apply new makeup and wipe it off before it dries! I'm hoping it will be successful. Before you do that, keep in mind that if the cold sore is still fresh and there, removing it may irritate it and cause it to stay longer, so proceed with caution. This thing actually works, and if I leave it on for up to three days, the sore heals quickly!

I've had terrible cold sores for years and have tried everything there is to treat them. I've gotten some minor help from a few things, but I've been severely disappointed by the majority of them, with Abreva being one of the most ineffective and costly items. I came across Zilactin on a shelf about a year ago and decided to give it a try because, after all, what have you got to lose? Imagine my delight when I put it on at the first itch/tingle and the cold sore didn't appear! When I use it after a blister has formed, it prevents it from spreading or growing larger and clears it up faster than any other product I've tried. When you first put it on, it stings like hell, especially if the blister is still healing, but once you get past that, it numbs and forms a protective shell over the blister, preventing it from hurting if you accidentally bump it or from being wiped away when you drink something. The only problem is that it isn't widely available in stores, so I'm glad Amazon carries it. Just make sure you plan ahead; I always have two, one in my bag and one at home. I won't need anything else from now on unless they come up with a cure.
I purchased the two-box set, which is only good for one month. I wouldn't order from this company because this is an outdated product.
To begin with, my cold sores only appear once a year or when I'm extremely stressed, and they're awful. I'd go with abreva and Walmart's brand. None of this, however, would alleviate the discomfort, promote healing, or prevent blistering or leaking from a cold sore. I was skeptical when I first saw this gel, but it literally stopped all of the pain, provided a cooling sensation on the cold sore, a protective film, and the cold sore was reduced to nothing in two days. However, I must emphasize that this is not accomplished solely through the use of this product. I also take lysine three times per day, a multivitamin that I double, a calcium magnesium zinc vitamin, and a probiotic. This is the quickest a cold sore has ever healed for me. On Monday, I developed a cold sore. It's now Wednesday, and the wound is almost completely healed. If you use that method, it should work for you as well. I'm ecstatic because I won't have to go to work with this unsightly thing on my lip, nor will I have to deal with the pain.
Canker sores have bothered me since I was a child. I've tried other products and this is the only one that works quickly and for long periods of time; I'm on my third tube in three years. I can't seem to find it anywhere; I've looked in pharmacy stores and grocery stores where I used to buy it, but they don't seem to have it anymore. From now on, I'll be buying it here!.
I can't find it in stores anymore, so I have to order it online; the product is great, but it's a bit pricey; I was disappointed to discover that the tubes I purchased had a relatively short expiration date for the price I paid.
1- When you first notice it, apply zilactin to the affected area, making sure to clean it thoroughly before applying it
Continue until the bump disappears or grows larger.
2- When the bump has grown in size or broken, clean the area thoroughly with hydrogen peroxide and apply the zilactin. Don't poke or molest it because it will break and turn white, and the goal is to have it seal and hide it.
After all the sore will go away or the entire thing will last about 3- 5 days.
This product, which is not a moisturizer, should be kept on hand by anyone who suffers from cold sores. I'm not sure why this question was asked above.
This is the one that I use. to a canker sore treatment I've struggled with biting the insides of my mouth since I was a child, and canker sores are usually the result. Nothing - Neither prescription ointments nor other canker sore coverups are acceptable - works, but taking Aleve and protecting them with this Zilactin bio- film. The product is long-lasting and simple to use. It stings like a $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ * for a brief moment, but it is still my hero.
