My sister is both blind and almost deaf, so I ordered this for her. While everyone else was asleep, she was completely lost in the middle of the night, lying there wondering what time it was? It is common for blind people to have difficulty sleeping. It is a favorite toy of hers. The clock tells her when and what day of the week it is. Setting up the system was a snap. This little device only needs two double AA batteries to run. The cords have not been attached. A coaster would be about its size. It is very clear to hear the voice. Because there is no volume control, it may seem a little loud to those who hear well, but it's not excessive. I have invented something wonderful.
She is legally blind and hard-of-hearing. I really believe the clock has made a big difference for her. The young woman is struggling to remember the date and the time of the day, as well as to see the clock. She has been so happy since she got this clock She loves it, and she thanks me for giving her this device. It tells her the day, time, and date clearly in a loud voice. She keeps asking me for it. My iPhone was so easy to use, I set the time and date in no time. A nurse told me about this clock while I was getting my mom's eyes checked.
It is perfect. Even after sleeping for 25 hours, my 88-year-old mother cannot read the clock in her (multiple) apartment in the middle of The reason for this is unknown to me. I know the answer, but THIS IS IT! I did NOT wake her up at 2 in the morning. As I rushed out the door this morning, I thought it was eight. We're making progress! extremely easy to set up and despite the fact that I wanted to cover my ears, the voice was so loud (to me) that my mother said the volume was just right, and she was delighted that it also said That was a strange problem, but you fixed it!.
That's right, I was just asked if this clock is loud enough. Upon hearing it for the first time, I was certain that I would jump. The item was purchased as a gift for a friend who has severe vision and hearing issues. When I gave her the book, she was beyond thrilled. My mistake, she was going to dance a jig for joy even though she is almost 92 years old. We are thankful for a great product you've developed for the visually impaired and the deaf.
There is no better way to describe her reaction! Considering how simple it is to operate, and how well she can understand the voice, she uses it every day while reclined, and every night when sleeping. She keeps it by her recliner and puts it on her bedside table. After I followed the directions for setting the time and date, I was able to insert the batteries with no problem. This purchase has so far been a great experience for both of us.
My 86 year old mother absolutely Her ears are alerted and she can hear it It is clear to me now. If you tap on the white disk once, you will get time, and if you tap again, you will get the day and the month. It is time. I love how easy it is to install the batteries and charger This is an easy way to set up. It is great that the batteries are not round, tiny, expensive, and difficult to access. The size of the device is about the same as a coaster, so it's easy to find while not taking up much space on a small table next to the I also like that there is only one setting button on the back with none on top, which will be confusing to her and possibly cause her to mess up the setting if accidentally hit. Some brands have been dealing with these issues for a long time.
Getting this for my mother-in-law who is legally blind has proven to be a good purchase. The AAA batteries are sure eaten up by it. It may be that the newer AAA batteries will take care of it. The battery packaging for some units says they are good for ten years, but I have never kept batteries longer than two or three years. When you inserted the "crappy" batteries that came with it, the clock died. This clock is a great product, but I hope there was a battery error rather than something wrong with it.
I found it easy to setup the clock and set the time It is time. It is nice and smooth to hear his voice There is noise. But instead of the top of the white clock, the speaker is underneath. Soft surfaces muffle sound and can cause it to be muffled when set on them A hard surface will produce a resonance. Having it in front of us makes it much easier to understand. It works the same, but the rubber feet are up and there is a white button on the right. An older person who is hard of hearing will probably not fully grasp the relevance of the day's events if the male voice is too fast. Please enter the date in the There are some changes that could make this a better product, but it still makes a good choice for the blind and visually impaired Someone who has a hard time hearing.
