A couple of years ago, I bought one for my dad who is blind. In a skilled nursing facility, he is being cared for. Among the nurses and the staff, the clock has received a lot of attention. The watch has become a conversation starter as well as an effective timepiece, and my father seems to pay more attention to it. Overall, I found this to be true There is a lot of interest in it and everyone wants one.
This was purchased for an 83 year old woman who has progressive macular degeneration. Due to her inability to see regular clocks, she loves the fact that this one also displays the day of the week, as well as the time expressed in am or pm. In addition to the clock's size and the voice's clarity and volume, it is just right It is a matter of great satisfaction for both of us.
I would like to mention that this clock did what it said it would do. my mother has macular degeneration and is very Despite the loudest setting, the sound is not loud enough for her. Talking fast is not helpful for people who are hard of hearing. People who are hard of hearing need slow, loud talking, I speak fast but must slow down a lot and speak loudly A few minutes were needed to set up the system, but it wasn't difficult. There should be a way for you to slow down the voice to make it more comfortable. I gave it 3 stars because it is too expensive for the lightweight plastic and the voice is too fast.
For the battery compartment, you will need a small screwdriver. Until the battery compartment is opened, you will need a very small screwdriver. Blind people may not be able to perform that task. And what about batteries that have died? It is also impossible for a blind person to do that. It was a gift. I'm sorry. For a clock for the blind, I'll have to find a better solution. It took me a lot of effort to open Luckily, I found a tiny screwdriver at the local hardware store. The design of this website is really bad for blind people.
I purchased this talking clock for a relative who is visually impaired for the second time. I looked at the first one and it looked similar, but it was thicker and obviously of much lower quality than the one I just bought. There are a lot of features to like about this device it appears very well built, it is very easy to program, and the big red button is perfect for people who have trouble seeing. This is a wonderful product that I would highly recommend.
This thing is very special to my grandfather who is visually impaired. by his bed, and every time he wants to know what time it is, he goes in the room and pushes the button.
It is wonderful for my blind dad to have this kind of opportunity.
I understand the speech very well because it is loud and clear. There is no problem taking it in different rooms or out on.
