A black rubber set button is located just to the right of the battery door on the underside of the clock. Upon pressing the set button, the options - set hour, set minute, set year, set month, set day, set alarm hour, set alarm minute, alarm on or alarm off - will be toggled. When you have toggled/rotated a few times, tap the large blue button until the hour, minute, and year are all set. Tap the blue button for the time and tap again for the date in the same way once you've entered them.
I do state that I am and I tried setting it up in pm, but it fails to work. It also reverts back to 12 when you set it to 5 AM, so I would never recommend it. It starts at 12 AM, but if you change it to 5 AM, it reverts back to 12 again.
There is about a 3-minute difference The diameter of the hole is 1/2 inch
Then you press the blue button and when the alarm goes off you hear a double buzzer until you shut it off with the blue button FYI alarm buzzer is low volume set switch to high after setting the time and date.

She utters a bad voice generated by a computer. We tried a number of other products and she had trouble understanding the voice (shrill Asian woman, bad computer generated voice, etc. )
This is the first product that she understood. It has no buttons on top so she will not be able to change settings by accident! I was absolutely thrilled to find out that she loved She has knocked it off the shelf a couple of times and it still works.
In addition to being 100 years old, my father is blind and has hearing problems. Having to ask someone every time what time it was, he now has a clock that tells him the time. A joy for him is when he hears the time loud and clear when he wakes in the middle of the night. This bold blue button also helps one to tell the time with both eyes even if they have macular degeneration.
My mom, who is 87 years old, initially found it quite useful. I would say that the voice is set to normal loudness. I would have given it five stars during my first couple of weeks of use. As others have reported, I did not notice much of an accent. Unfortunately, my mom has trouble distinguishing between AM and PM when they both say the same thing. The time lag is more important. Here are a few examples Instead of 8, it should read I checked at 855 AM and it said 855 AM. A forty-minute break is in order. It seems there is no way to correct the slowdown. A reset each day or so is required for keeping the clocks at the correct time. I will change the batteries and see if this changes anything.
We are all concerned about our 98-year-old mother who suffers from macular degeneration and hearing loss. A large button talking clock turned out to be just what she wanted! She loves it! The book is next to her bedside so that she can easily reach it. I think she will enjoy how loud the sound is Its sound quality wasn't as good as the original one I bought. Right away, a replacement was sent to me, and it is far better than the original. Her ears are perfectly satisfied with the sound quality. Compared with male voices which are hard to hear, the male voice is very easy to hear by her. A soft voice that comes from a female. It is highly recommended that you check out My father received one of these from us - I love my talking clock too, and so does my father-in-law!.
mother-in-law had a talking watch, but she put on the watch upside down sometimes since she couldn't see it very well. Since she was pressing the wrong button for speech, it would not work. The buttons were small, which made it difficult for her to push them, even when she was holding it in the right direction. The large button talking clock that I bought for her has captured her heart. On the top, there is only one large button. There is no such thing as pressing the wrong button. The device seems to have reestablished the time for her since she can now hear it in her walker. now has two, one to keep near her bed and one near the side of it. She couldn't think of a better solution and it works perfectly for her.
It was a gift for my elderly mother who often has difficulties deciding what time she woke up at The man's voice usually announces the time so she remembers to hit the button on the clock now. Then she goes back to sleep and doesn't have to wake up at some odd time like three in the morning to start getting dressed. In addition to providing the option to set the time and date, it is also very easy to use. The elderly would certainly benefit from this product.
The clock was purchased for my mother in law, who is having trouble reading the clock In spite of the loud sound, she was not able to understand the time because of her poor hearing. Although the noise was loud enough, her hearing aids (which she does not wear at night) were not clear enough to enable her to comprehend the time. Even though the product itself worked, the voice was not clear enough to be helpful for people with hearing difficulties.
However, it drains batteries very quickly, which makes me give it a 3 star rating instead of a 5. I take it to my mother every day and she checks the time about 3 times a day. With fresh batteries, it lasts After that, we'll have to restart from scratch. The process of resetting is straightforward, though it does take some time.
