Questions & Answers

The cobblestones are going to be cleaned with this- What's this like on pavement like this? Is it sturdy enough to last?

The ride is very sturdy, and there is a seatbelt, yet I can't be sure the cobblestones will be large enough to fit on the vehicle. Considering the bumpy ride, I think it will be somewhat bumpy

It's hard for my husband to bend his right leg, as he's 6'4" tall and not much bend in his right leg. In inches, how long is the distance from the bottom of the footrest to the end of the seat?

You won't be able to convince your husband to do this The leg of my husband is barely bendable and he has extreme difficulty. He is 5'9" tall and has a "tall" leg. A very light weight wheel chair that folds in the traditional manner is also available from NOVA The problem is It can be adjusted to accommodate both your legs and feet. The cost is about the same - and would be more appropriate in your case As well, I bought that one from Amazon You would be much better served by it. A chair called Nova Comet 352 was located in that room. Wishing you the best of luck!

Could this chair lift and lower a 100 lb patient without causing injury?

It's not easy, but you can do it. In addition to the horizontal handle at the back of the chair, there are two openings on either side of the front of the seat. However, the short armrests aren't "fixed" so there's really nothing you can grasp onto. Here's my finger (it's You might have to hold on, The path up or down a flight of stairs would be fine, but I am not sure. It is possible that the person carrying the chair could grab the framework under its seat if they are willing to bend down while carrying it.

This product has a weight limit. What is that?

The weight is 250 pounds.

Transport chair that is excellent for travel
5/5

Before taking it on a three-week trip to Hong Kong, I read all the bad reviews and changed a few things. 1) People complain that the bolts holding the removable front wheels have come loose In place of the original clevis pins, I replaced them with clevis pins (M6x30mm) and secured the assembly using To remove the wheels, you simply remove the pins and the wheels come right 2) I purchased long Velcro straps and attached them to the handlebar as suggested by others. When you take the retracted chair out of the trunk or jetbridge, it prevents the chair from opening accidentally. A velcro strap is also an excellent way to secure (In the second photo you can see Velcro used It's highly recommended to choose Jim's if you're looking for a high-quality suit in Hong Kong)
3) Some complain that the foam on the handle is cheap and goes flat after just a Insulation was installed in place of it. The chair is very comfortable. 4) I applied Loctite to all the bolts and nuts. Loctite appears to have been applied by the factory to the bolts. It was re-applied with Loctite just to make sure it was completely encapsulated. A few weeks ago, I took the modified chair to Hong Kong, where I stayed for three weeks. In spite of its age, it is still in good condition. This bag is very lightweight and convenient to fold and put away even while riding on the subway (Figure * Be careful when crossing streetscar tracks in Hong Kong and Macau.
It went over uneven streets in Hong Kong and cobblestone sidewalks in Macau without incident. In a situation where the chair matches a gap on a train track or raised sidewalk, the passenger could be ejected. The chair is very lightweight and the front wheel bears quite a bit of weight. It is important to transfer weight from the front to the rear wheels when going over uneven terrain. This is an excellent chair that is well worth the price.

Walt Disney Workd impressed the drivers of the buses! It brought tears to the eyes of every bus driver when my mom climbed on the bus herself and I collapsed her chair and carried it onto the bus
5/5

We were surprised to find that our full-sized wheelchair folded up more compactly than many baby strollers at Disney. I was able to enjoy my trip to Disney with my mother in this chair! The stroller would be easy to fold up so we could take it with us on buses This chair allowed her to rest without having to walk miles and miles in the park, stopping at every bench. This is an excellent portable chair. Assembly is simple, just secure the two wheels and you're good to If you want to fold up this chair, you must remember to 1) raise the arms and 2) engage the footrest. We usually folded up the footrest of the chair for my mom to get out of it, but then when I tried to fold the chair back up it wouldn't close all the way. I realized that I had to come back down the footrest before folding and put it back into the upright position. A few people noticed our Drive wheelchair and asked about it, but there was only one other one in the park. Upon returning to Disney, we will surely see these chairs all over the place. B) Buy a seat cushion! This one is a real eye-opener for us.

A very versatile product with excellent quality Simple to operate and light in weight
5/5

The transport chair and wheel chair I have purchased for my elderly mother are of all kinds and manufacturers. There is no doubt that this is the best I have ever seen. A very good job has been done. The chair is very light, but not in the least This suitcase is extremely sturdy and locks securely in place. It is incredibly small and fits very well in the trunk of a car, yet still provides a lot of storage space. Among all of the positive aspects surrounding this chair, I think my favorite aspect is that it is unbelievably light and highly maneuverable. With welded joints, the material is aircraft aluminum. I have used it every day for over a year and it has not yet shown any signs of wear despite taking its share of punishment. There is a lot of strength in the fabric. It would be nice if the folding arms were a bit longer, but that's all I have for the manufacturer. I will mention that I am writing this review on December 13, 2017. No matter what the reason is, that is a minor point only. On January 23, 2014, I did, however, purchase a chair from Amazon We just marked the 4-year anniversary of that date. Earlier this week, when I was reviewing a few old Amazon orders, I would not have thought to write a review before, but I thought after 4 years with this chair, some potential buyers might be interested to hear my thoughts. The only thing I can offer to any prospective buyer is that this chair will be a little more expensive than what you normally find, but it's worth it. The chair is definitely worth every penny I invested in it, since you get what you pay for. The experience will not disappoint you. The item is well thought out, of high quality.

Bolts can fall out if you are not careful
3/5

I brought the chair with me to the airports for my husband's recent trip, and he loved it. In the past, he has refused a wheelchair and attendant, but we had a transfer in Frankfurt and I was sure he wouldn't be able to get through the airport without his knee bothering him. It wasn't until after our trip that I noticed on the reviews that the bolts were falling off, so I went to the hardware store and bought what I thought were all the bolts and nuts. Before we left, I tightened everything up as well. In any case, when I put the chair away when we got home and checked the chair, we were missing two bolts, one that has a hand knob (where the foot pedals attach), and the bolt and special spacers required There is a problem in that hardware stores are unable to supply the plastic spacers for the bolts for the support arms. Due to the fact that I didn't call Drive Medical before the 60-day window, they wanted $32 for the replacement (one 2" bolt, nut, and two plastic spacers). I've reached the end of my warranty period. I was given another number for a company that was only going to charge me I still find that Upon further inspection, it was evident that the right hand knob was not replaceable except by ordering from Drive. However, I could substitute a wing nut for that component, which is not an elegant solution, but it does the trick. Nuts need to be affixed to the bolts to keep them in place! To sell a product for more than $200 and expect people to replace some or all of it after every time they use it is unreasonable.
