Mobility Services for Mobile Devices: The instructions I found in the owner's manual are listed below. I hope this has been of assistance. br>WHEEL LOCKSbr>ADJUSTING WHEEL LOCKSbr>DO NOT USE WHEEL LOCKS WHILE THE PRODUCT IS IN MOTION. Attempting to stop the product with wheel locks (which are not brakes) is not a good idea.
1 - Locks must be disengaged.
2 - To remove the wheel lock from the frame, loosen the bolt and locknut that holds it in place.
3 - Reposition the wheel lock so that it presses against the tire and depresses it by 1/8th inch if it is engaged.
4 - Tighten the bolt and locknut that connects the wheel lock to the frame to a secure fit.
5 - When you push the button on the wheel lock, make sure the product doesn't move or the wheel doesn't turn.
6 - If the product moves while the locks are engaged, repeat the steps above but slightly increase the amount the lock depresses the tire when it is engaged.
I'm not sure how much it weighs, but it's mentioned in the description. It's very light and folds up easily for transport. However, because it is a transportation wheelchair rather than a regular wheelchair, it moves quickly and does not feel sturdy, and one of the foot pedals will not stay in place. I don't trust it to be used on a daily basis because my husband is 6'1" and weighs 240 pounds. I'm not sure I'd purchase it again.
Mobility Services for Mobile Devices: Yes, the armrests can be removed. Both the back and front of the armrests have the same release lever.

Selected User Reviews For NOVA Medical Products Lightweight Transport Chair with Removable & Flip Up Arms for Easy Transfer, Anti-Tippers Included, Blue
For almost two years, my wife has been using this transport chair to get around the house by powering it with her legs. br>br>If I had to pick one feature that distinguishes this chair from others I've owned, it would be the rubber wheels, as opposed to the composite wheels found on most similar chairs. As a result, there is a higher likelihood of positive breaking. We have laminate flooring, and when the brakes are applied and you try to get out of the chair, the composite wheels tend to "skid. " It's bad for the floors, and it's definitely bad for the user. br>br>The chair is well-made and long-lasting!.
Arms return to their original position, but remain attached in a reachable position. Fits through the doorway of my cramped master bath with ease. Seat cushion is firm. Even though the brakes are on the back wheels, I can reach them while seated on the seat, ensuring that I am secure when transferring from one location to another. The following are the only disadvantages that have been discovered thus far:
1. On carpet, navigation is more difficult, and moving is more difficult if the wheel becomes stuck in the wrong direction. br>2. When someone else is pushing you, it's obviously much easier to use on carpet.
2. The swing-through hole that the swing-through hole that the swing-through hole that the The back arm locks into a position that is a little higher than I would have intended. It would have been ideal if it was an inch lower than the seat, as it can be uncomfortable on your buttocks and legs if I don't cover it when transferring. br>However, all things considered, I adore this transfer chair and would recommend it to anyone.
First and foremost, you should be aware that This isn't a wheelchair by any stretch of the imagination. This will make it impossible for your person to move around independently. This is a chair that you sit in to get your non-alcoholic beverages. Walking a person to and from the car, or to and from various locations around the house. It has a lot of sturdiness to it. br> My person weighs 200 pounds, and in this chair, I can easily move them. The brakes on the wheels are also powerful. br>Despite its strength, the chair is light and easy to fold. My Toyota Corolla's trunk is perfectly sized for this item. br>It comes highly recommended.
When using a transfer board, the lift away arms make transfers much easier. – WC to bed, WC to other chairs When compared to transfers made with a fixed-arm WC of the same size from a different brand, transfers are made faster and safer. Storage against a wall in a bedroom or hallway is made easier by the narrow width. It glides along with ease. br>br>My husband wishes the wheels were easy to remove so that he could store the WC in the car while traveling. I bought a Karman Ergonomic Wheelchair with 16-inch Seat and Quick Release Axles a few years ago, but when I needed to use a transfer board, the fixed arms made it difficult for me to transfer. I was able to get around my house more independently after finding the Nova chair with flip up arms.
This was purchased so that I could transport my husband in the event that he became ill. It's simple to assemble and disassemble, as well as lightweight and compact enough to fit in the trunk. However, one of the legs does not fit properly on the hinges, and it continues to fall off. It also does not appear to be very stable. It's perfect for getting him to appointments on time, but it's not ideal for getting him out for the day. It isn't something I would trust. PS: My husband stands 6 feet tall and weighs 230 pounds.
Front wheels frequently turn sideways, making it difficult to move forward; we also put back wheels inside the frame, allowing the chair to pass through the bathroom door.
I'm 73 years old and need this to get my husband to his appointments and therapy sessions while he learns to walk again. I can't put the one we use at home in the trunk because it's too heavy, but this one is perfect.
Dec. 1st was the deadline for placing an order. It would be delivered in December, I was told. After that, I was informed that it would arrive in December. It will now be delivered in December, according to my information. 28th or possibly the first week of January I would not have ordered this item if I had known it would not arrive in a timely manner from Amazon.
