Has the potential to be extremely dangerous
3/5

This chair is for my wife, who is a stroke victim and has limited maneuverability on her right side due to her restricted range of motion. I chose it for the smaller footprint and improved Having flared out handles at the back negates any advantage to the overall appearance. It is very difficult to reach the hand breaks since they are low and far away. For this, I did not subtracted any stars because I swapped the left and right handles and made them bend inward and extended the handles so that she could There's a safety issue in this movie that accounts for the low rating. A teater effect from the right wheel to the left wheel from the front left wheel was caused by the front left wheel being too low. The rear right wheel lifted a little as soon as my wife grabbed the left armrest, so the chair proceeded to swing as soon as she grabbed the left armrest. As you can see, this is an extremely dangerous situation It was not necessary for me to drill new holes or make a spacer with a washer (such as it was the spacer's job) to solve the problem. It was not necessary to make it poor quality for this chair. It seems clear from the picture above that this is a major concern, and almost resulted in There would be many people who would not be able to figure out how to fix it the way I did or have the tools.

For a short outing, this is a good chair
5/5

The wheelchair is a very practical one for someone who just needs to get around during the day to appointments or for shorter trips. Due to its ability to fold into a compact and lightweight unit at such an easy rate My favorite thing about weight size is how it looks. can easily fit in the trunk of the car or in the rear. For my husband who is nearly 6 feet tall, the foot holders do seem too high (the seat is too high) but for short periods of time (less than an hour), it is fine. In short, this wheelchair is perfect for our needs, and, at 25 pounds, it is super lightweight.

There are a number of areas where design and manufacture are of poor quality
3/5

It should have been a simple assembly, but the little black caps that secure the wheels (both front and rear) once the through screws are in place were somehow broken, and there were none at the two rear wheel connection points from what I could see. It's time for the manufacturer to send us replacement parts! As well as this, the threads over the through holes where the wheels attach are also inadequate, and can I am not confident that the product will last very long, nor am I confident that it will prevent the wheels from coming loose while using the chair, or while en route. The box did not contain the storage bag that was mentioned, and I believe this should have been included as a separate item. This has been a disappointment from start to finish.

There are a few serious flaws with this wheelchair
3/5

The chemotherapy and diabetes in my elderly father keep him in a wheelchair almost the whole time. For us, and many other families with a disabled member, it is convenient to have multiple wheelchairs for various activities and In order to have a back-up wheelchair in case of an emergency, I purchased an extra wheelchair for transport purposes. Here are some of the good things I-n- d A dining table armrest that is angled to provide comfort and support - When folded, the leg rest has a clamp that holds it in place. The good It appears to be solidly built.

The bad I-n- d Having a slippery seat is not a good idea. It is the material of the seat that has caused my father to slip down and nearly fall while using the chair. A wheelchair cushion that straps to a chair minimizes the problem for a person with limited upper and lower body strength, but it can't be used all the time (or can be forgotten) especially during transport since we have to fold the chair to fit into car trunks. I-n- d In the attached photo, you can see a very flat seat (blue Due to the lack of cradling, the seat is even more slippery as it does not hold the patient's bottom at all. Without a cushion, it is also very uncomfortable to sit for long periods of time. I-n- d There is an enormous amount of dust and debris picked up by the front wheels due to the compound of the wheels. It is actually dust and debris that become embedded in the wheels (see photo, blue wheelchair attached). By comparison, the Drive Medical Fly Light wheelchair we use on a regular basis is not susceptible to this problem because the front wheel casters are treaded. The seemingly small difference is actually very important. Using a wheelchair that's resistant to dust / debris and provides a smooth ride is extremely important for someone going through chemotherapy. Picking up so much dirt and debris from the wheelchair that tracks all over his house is not healthy. Similarly, if dirt and debris are not cleaned by the homeowner right before entering the home, they will leave scratches on any wooden, laminated, or tile flooring (or if carpet is used, there will be dirt and debris scattered throughout the carpet). As a reviewer, I'm not inclined to leave unnecessarily harsh reviews, but this wheelchair is not designed to be used at home. Probably ok for quick and short transport in a small hospital or senior home, but no more than that. This is not a product that I would recommend for home.

This is a good chair
5/5

It's well designed. This is a very well-made and sturdy product. I like how easy it is to use and fold up. Despite the weight and spacing of the foot rests, the only downside is its weight. It should weigh close to my husband's wheelchair (they are spaced too far apart. ) I haven't actually weighed it, but it must be quite heavy. According to the reviews I read, both of these issues were reported by others.

HELP IS NEEDED IN YOUR MECHANICAL EXPERIENCE
3/5

To get the parts to fit, they must be forced to fit and or It falls off easily, and the hand screws do not fit in the bracket. (Rear wheel bracket) Swivel wheels and lubricated wheels need to be serviced. It could come to a point where these screws I went to an ACE HARDWARE store to find screws to replace the original parts on the chair, and it could be a five-star chair. I would suggest adding a foot push bar to the back. In addition to what has been stated, I would say this chair is probably better than most of its type.
