The belt actually lasted a few weeks before we gave up on it. My husband's physical therapist uses one like this and recommended it to me after we used a thick, hard belt that caused him stomach aches. In the beginning, this belt solved that problem perfectly, but after a month or so, the teeth would no longer hold the belt firmly, and dangerous slippage would result. Therefore, this belt was softer and easier on his belly, but the slippage was dangerous.
