I am currently in a rehabilitation facility. There are two broken gait belts here, because all the belts here have plastic buckles. There was just one that kept opening just at the right time I was standing up when he spoke to me. A gait belt that is not good in this category is this one. I have been searching and finally found it. I like the length and the strength of it. The fact that it's washable is also a plus for me. The fact that it's available in purple is one of the selling points, and two others have ordered one as well since mine arrived. It isn't that the other colors aren't good, it is just that there tends to be a lot of purple people around It's only a problem that I cannot always get the buckle right, but I'm not the only one with that problem.

The color is beautiful. So far, so good that my mom's therapist has shown us how to attach the walker belt to her walker, and hopefully that will make it easier for her to get up on her own. The belt does meet my expectations, and I would recommend it.
