The ankle has been broken on both sides. There is a connection between the fibula and the tibia. Full weight bearing is now available. I was left with my cane sitting against the wall (alone). It was not going to give me any confidence during the process with the small rubber tip. If you are having a problem with your cane or quad, the Rubber Replacement tip by Vive is the perfect solution. The cane can be steadied. That means I am too! My rating would have been six stars if there were six of them. Buying this item from Amazon has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Vive, keep up the good work!.
Apparently it was the best of the 8 canes left at Rite-Aide when I left it at the store with the last one. Someone took it after they noticed it was the best one among the 8. The staff did provide me with a similar cane, so I ordered this one to go with it. Every time I walk over it, it gets noticed and it stands on its own as well as providing me with a lot of support when it is slippery. A few years ago I fell and tore my meniscus in that same setting. It didn't matter whether it was raining or not when I used this one.
After searching high and low for a larger quad base, I found this to be the largest. It was too big for my mom to tolerate the rubber base of the Nova cane, as she was using a large quad that was a loan. When I read the dimensions for her can's base and the dimensions for this attachment and so forth I pulled the trigger and it fit her Nova perfectly. It was no easy task for the person who put them on for her since the rubber and the tightness made it difficult.
Our hardwood floors are quieter even with this product, for it offers excellent stability and stands on its own. Maybe you should check the tip of your old cane to see if it comes off I have a heavy pair of boots that my husband wears To begin with, I cut off the old black rubber tip most canes come with with heavy duty hand cutters.
