The lower shaft of my crutch is 7/8 in., and I am using it on a pair of Drive forearm style crutches. While it was a bit interesting to force the tips on, I managed to do so, and I have now walked on the same pair of Tornado tips for almost a year. My memory tells me it was in Oct. 2012.
It seems like you don't use your one crutch enough for the tip's durability to be an issue for you. I've never seen them sold as anything other than a pair here and on Fetterman's website. Is there anyone else that uses a cane with a tip like the one you suggested? While I'm not sure, I believe it may apply to many canes, since they have a shaft diameter between 3/4 and 1 inch. Alternatively, you could go Dutch on the purchase, or give the extra tip to the customer as a gift.
There is a 7/8" diameter tube, which should fit into one inch with some work and some water. It hasn't been easy using gel tips for me. I use nontoxic hand soaps because I find that these can burst after a few months, leaving a sticky gooey gel all over my clothes, rugs, car, shoes, etc. Now you can get the gel version.
Having been a permanent crutch user for many years, I've always had good luck with these gel crutch tips, and they provide a great cushion for my joints. It is rather overkill for me to use the performance tips as they are heavier and larger. A height of 5' 7" and weight of 145 pounds describe who I am. Because I exercise, I will not need the extra weight and endurance that comes with It is perfect for me that you have Tornado Tips.

It has made a notable difference to my husband's everyday activities since these tips were introduced. In the past, we discarded crutch tips every six months before we bought Fetterman Tornado Gel Tips It took eight weeks for me to locate the very rare drug store that sold gray tips. In this section, we have They last for a long time if taken care of properly. The tips of his shoes are rotated a quarter turn every Sunday evening just like a tire rotation or a shoe switch. * They really grip the surface they are applied to. * we can order them here on Amazon and have them delivered to him * the gel, and design has significantly reduced the impact of his crutch tip striking the ground (like a shock absorber). There are a few cons There are a few weights on them. Those who use this will notice no distracting differences, but just a noticeable difference they will quickly get used to. I really believe the crutches for Left and Right side need to be rotated in the same way, as mentioned above. If you want to get the most mileage out of your sneakers, I mean crutches, we highly recommend this. NOTE
My husband comes to me in an unusual gait as a result of his life growing up with cerebral palsy. The tip of one crutch strikes the ground at a steep angle of approximately 30°. Our experience shows that these tips meet this challenge, and we feel they help him gain more confidence to walk head up and forward than always looking down to see where he lands. There have been fewer slips, and falls since using these tips. As a family business, we are dedicated to the brand. In the midst of a chronic life challenge, it's the small victories that can make life easier.
We notice those here at Xerox.
I think this is a brilliant move. I really appreciated these tips since they helped me to absorb the brunt of each crutch strike and keep my hands very comfortable (these crutches basically pain-free- This round is on my legs, unlike my last three attempts You are worth it, and this product is fantastic! These are the ones you need. There will be no disappointment for you. They have already been recommended to other people and the same response has been heard.
Despite being more expensive, Amazon offers free shipping, which makes up for the price difference. He sells Crutch Grll Tips that are extremely reliable, and I know every part of this particular one extremely well. If I were heavier I believe they would work better for me because I wouldn't have to press down as hard on the tips of the crutches if I were happier and could experience more of the great design benefits. But absolutely worth the investment! As a precaution during pandemic, always wash once you are home and be careful not to slip. They are a little heavier, but the lighter ones wouldn't have the same effect. I tried Vanguard, but I'm already used to these I feel secure in kneeling.
Despite being properly adjusted by my physical therapist, however, my wrists felt very beat up with the stock crutch tips, even when I had been on crutches for about 8 weeks. I changed out the tips for these and no longer felt wrist or hand pain - thank God! I was amazed at how well they handled the shock. Having the ability to plant the base on the ground and still tilt quite a bit without the base picking up off the floor was really useful. never had any slips or falls while using these. They were stable on moist outside surfaces and at least on mats when I put them indoors (I always wiped them down before I put them in).
I usually spend $30 or more on crutch tips, so forget about it. It was probably about the same time I almost fell when I used the regular tips that come with crutches. It was a great idea, after listening to the reviews and giving it a shot, glad I did it. I want to know what is the value of your life and what is it worth to you not to slip in the process. Having crutches makes life much easier. I especially like these tips since they grab the ground and secure your foot to the ground. Honestly, when I first got these, I kept my old tips thinking they wouldn't make any difference, I would return them as soon as possible. I was wrong, these are a must have. Do yourself a favor and get them, you deserve it.
After 25 years, we have bought a weird dump truck load This is a cheap Wal-Mart The mart tips blow out (the metal part of the cane comes out of the bottom of the tip) right away and I have gone through as many as three sets per day) but Fetterman tips are a lifesaver! Tornado tips (not gel tips) start getting smooth after a couple of years and could possibly last forever. I started using them four years ago and one set of tips is good for the next year before getting dead. They're even better than the gel tips! Two years after purchasing my first set, it is still in great condition! so I could use it for an additional cane in the back of my Additionally, I find that the gel tips cushion the shock of the cane hitting the ground to a great extent, which means I have a lot less elbow and shoulder pain. These tips are truly exceptional! You'll not find a better set anywhere! I found this book to be well worth the price.
It usually takes me about nine months for my forearm crutches to break down, so I replace them every couple of months. With gel tips, you won't experience as much jarring as you would with hard tips. I noticed that it was easier on my hands, wrists, As well as being flexible enough to ensure better grip on the floor throughout your stride, they assure that they do not slip as the angles change during your stride. They also allow for a slight pivot joint area which is very useful.
It's a great idea to follow these tips. The mobility products and equipment designed by Mister Fetterman have been a part of my life since I first discovered them in the late 1990s. As well as the durable tips, there are also hand grips and underarm pads designed for a maximum level of I made titanium crutches a long time ago, one of my best Fetterman creations. These are the best crutches in terms of their quietness, strength, and sleek appearance. The cost of these devices is negligible, since they last for a long time. Kudos to this product for making roofs, slopes, and steps a little more comfortable and part of our everyday lives.
