Cane must be 1" in diameter to fit. The hole measures 1 inch in diameter and 1 1/4 inch across the top of the tip. The height is 1 3/4 inches from the bottom to the very top. It measures 1 3/8 inch across the bottom of the tip.
No, I bought a 3/4" tip from CVS before purchasing this one. For the 1" cane, it did not work. I would recommend purchasing a 3/4" tip.
The following is a description from the manufacturer: The Black Nev- For added durability, replace the standard flat-bottom rubber cane tip with a sturdy steel insert molded into the tip's base.
If you're not sure what size rubber tip you need for your walking cane, simply remove the existing tip and measure the shaft across the bottom of the cane. The circumference (all around) of the cane's shaft is not something you want to measure. Simply lay a tape measure across the bottom of the shaft to determine the diameter.

My husband showed me how to use a cane tip yesterday afternoon. The bottom began to peel away, but not completely. There's still a smidgeon of hope. It's fortunate that there were two of them included. br>It's hard to believe the tip only lasted 3 months and 19 days from February 1 to April 19. They're supposed to be much more durable. A year or two, at the very least. I'm extremely disappointed. My husband is compelled to walk with the assistance of a cane. This isn't correct.
I've had a custom cane for 30 years that I haven't been able to find a tip for. Finally, I went online and discovered the ideal heavy-duty tip. As a result, my gentle tapping and the gradual deterioration of my cane's tip are no longer an option. I walk quietly, and my favorite cane has stopped wearing away, and it no longer slips on a hard surface, making me feel safer on my daily walks.
The size was accurate, and it arrived quickly. I won't know how long it lasts until I put it through its paces, but it strikes the right balance of firmness and softness to prevent slipping and other forms of instability. It was exactly what I had hoped for. Even on slick surfaces, the cane is now secure and stable. 01/19/21 It is no longer as secure on polished hard surfaces as it once was. It's probably not as bad as the average tip, but it does necessitate paying close attention to these surfaces, especially if using it to get up from a sitting position and putting a lot of weight on the cane.
After measuring the tip of my wooden cane, I ordered this size. The tip appeared to be loose after installation. During use, it appeared to move. I ended up covering the cane tip with two layers of black Gorilla tape. This seems to have filled the void. Designed to provide a more secure bond. If this holds up over time, only time will tell.
I bought two sets, and when I went to install one of them, one of them was too big and kept falling off, while the other one fit perfectly. I tried to install the other set the same way, but one fit perfectly and the other was too big, so I used one of each set. Then I noticed 1/2 of the bottom edge came off on one of them: update ; This is slowly falling apart, so it's time to reorder, but not this product.
I ordered cane tips, and even the package I received said "cane tips," but what I got were crutch tips, which have much larger holes than cane tips, and I can't use them with my canes.
These were purchased to go with a hand-carved cane I was given. On some surfaces, the plain wood end would slip. These suggestions will help you avoid this and make your walk safer. br>br>I was worried that they would be too small because my cane is a little thick around the bottom, but they fit perfectly, and I'm very happy with these cane tips.
I purchased it with the hope that it would be reinforced, and you delivered. Joe (1947) says thank you.
