If the display is flashing, the bottle was never opened during the set alarm time.

Questions & Answers

Is it possible to disable the alarm and only use it to check when you last took a pill?

Yes, if you're only using it to keep track of when you last took your medications, you shouldn't set the alarm times.

Does the pill container provide light protection?

Yes, the pills are protected from light by the container.

Is it possible to switch out the battery? How long do you think it'll last if it doesn't?

Using a small Philips screwdriver, remove three (3) screws from the inside of the cap.
- Button cell battery should be removed. Take note of where everything is.
- LR44 or Equivalent 1 should be used in place of the LR44. Button cell with a voltage of 5 volts. It will work with any Button cell of the same size.
- The positive side of the Button Cell should be facing down. The bracket keeps it securely in place.
- The three (3) screws should be inserted and tightened.
- DONE!

Is this a replacement cap for your prescription bottle or an entirely new bottle? Isn't it illegal in most places to mix controlled substances with non-controlled substances?

It's both at the same time. It comes with an empty bottle, but the cap can be used with any prescription bottle that has the same mouth size as the one it came with. The medication I keep in it comes in a different kind of bottle, one that isn't compatible, but all I have to do is peel the label off the bottle I get from the pharmacy and stick it on the bottle this cap comes with. It's the label that counts, not the bottle on which it's stuck. You're good to go as long as the label stays on the pills.

If you're unsure whether you took your medication or not, don't take it again
5/5

This bottle will save your life: I was often unsure whether or not I had taken my meds, and because I couldn't go without them, I preferred to take them twice rather than not at all. I became dizzy, nauseous, and fainted as a result of this. not good! This is when I decided to look for a smart bottle that would tell me whether or not I had taken my meds. br>Since I got it, about two months ago, I've never forgotten to take my meds, and I've never taken it twice. All of this means that I will be able to live a happy and healthy life without having to worry about anything. free. br>And if my husband wants to know if I've taken my medication, all he has to do is look at my bottle, which shows the date and time I last opened it.
DONE! For me, this is a lifesaver. You are to be commended for putting that together. Oh, my goodness! br>br>Oh, my goodness! br>br>Oh, my goodness! You can also set an hourly alarm if necessary!.

Mine was purchased over 5 years ago and is still in excellent condition! I was about to place another order for more medications when I realized I had already received my first one over 5 years ago! My original one is for my seizure medication, which I CANNOT afford to miss, and it tells me the date and time, which I prefer to my other caps, which only tell me the time since the last time I opened them
5/5

I can't give it anything less than a 5 because mine is still going strong after 5 years and has been such a help to me. I highly recommend it to others who need to know when they should take their medication. It's simple to use, and it's big enough to hold even my big seizure capsules. see- through to keep out the sun, easy to read Day Of The Week and Time, and a sturdy bottle.

It's ideal for people who have a tendency to forget things
5/5

This is for a medication that my cat takes every two days. I can do it once a day, or MWF/TTh, without too much trouble, but every other day is a huge PITA for me. My phone has reminders that tell me when I SHOULD give it, but not when I actually did. This tells me when the bottle was last opened, so I can make sure I gave my cat her pill on time. She has cancer, and this is for a steroid that is part of her chemotherapy treatment. As a result, it's crucial. br>br>Because I don't use the alarm settings, I can't comment on their effectiveness. The top-heavy nature of the bottle is something I dislike. Even the tiniest bump causes it to topple. It's not a big deal for me to store it backwards. You'll also have to open the bottle to see how many pills are left because it's opaque. The time on the cap is then calculated accordingly. So make it a point to check how many you have left on a regular basis, or you may become confused.

It's an interesting concept, but it's not very durable
3/5

I, like many others, am required to take medication on a regular basis. My routine is as follows: I get out of bed, make myself a cup of coffee, and take my medication. My routine is occasionally disrupted by life, and I find myself questioning whether or not I remembered to take my pill. The top of the pill bottle shows the last time and day it was opened, which was an excellent solution. One day, I was opening the bottle and dropped the cap on the floor (about three feet away) - The top-mounted display had become illegible. I'm now using a standard pill bottle. It's a great concept, but it needs to be more durable.

It turned out to be a lot more useful than I expected! This pill bottle has proven to be extremely useful
5/5

I can't tell you how many times I've checked it and seen a missed dose or been reassured that the medicine was taken (by a somewhat forgetful family member)! Most of the time, it's assumed that if it's forgotten, the alarm will take care of the reminder. It is not a problem to set the alarm for the hour. In the morning, On the Hour didn't seem to work for us - It was a little too early at 7 a. m. I ended up resetting the clock by 15 minutes, so it's now 7:15. When the alarm goes off at 15 a. m. , the bottle believes it's 7 a. m. If you don't need multiple off-site locations, this is an easy solution. The same bottle can be used to set hour alarms. br>br>If you've misplaced your instructions (as I have), here's what you should do: To program, remove the cap (so you don't have to worry about the programming getting messed up if the bottle is in a bag). Due to a lack of time Press and hold the mode button, then use the up/down buttons to navigate through time. To change the day, press the mode button once more. To set the alarms, press and hold both the up and down buttons until they blink, then use one of them to scroll through the hours. When you see the alarm time you want (or don't want anymore), press the "check" button to turn it on and off. EDIT: br>br> Now, in July of 2018, The original batteries haven't died yet!.

There is a lack of volume
3/5

Unless you can't hear higher frequencies, this item is close to perfect. My father can't hear it at all, and I can't hear it either if I'm not in the same room. There isn't a way to change the volume. My brother can hear it fine, but he can't always hear it. I understand that it is intended to be carried with you at all times, and that some people may not want or require a loud alarm. But there are a few of us who do, and I'm sorry it doesn't work for us.

It's almost like a lifesaver
5/5

My husband has a box of medications that he must take twice daily. As history has shown, forgetting his meds can have serious consequences. I've noticed that he's becoming a little more forgetful, and he's asking me to double-check his agreement. However, because his sleep schedule is constantly changing, it would be impossible to fulfill this request, so I came across this solution, which has been fantastic so far! I like how it tells him how long it's been since he's opened the bottle with a quick glance. We didn't use any of the alarm features because the default settings were sufficient. I wish it was a little more affordable. I'd get a couple of extras. It's simple to read and it fits bottles with a smaller opening. It's the ideal size for the Pepcid ac 50ct bottle. It might be a good idea to have a few extra batteries on hand.
