Yes, even though there is color, the contents are still visible.
Each compartment is 1x1 square and about an eighth of an inch tall. I can fit 9 pills in each compartment and still have room to spare. It's light and airy, which I like.

I've lost several days' worth of medication because when one pops open, the others don't, and when you transfer pills to your hand, you lose the ones you weren't aware had popped open.
What you pay for is exactly what you get. I bought this for my mother, who is 78 years old. Stepfather, 79 years old. My mother is now in charge of my stepfather's medication. The lids, however, either refuse to close or are too difficult to close. I live in a different state than they do. My mother recently told me that she has been crying since my stepfather returned home from the hospital. Now he's on a different set of meds. She attempted to close the lid with meds in the sections. My heart breaks for her because she was unable to do so, and the entire box rolled over, spilling all of the medicine. I'm not going to buy anything else for her on the internet because I know I'll have to handle it and test it for her.
After reading the reviews, I purchased this with high hopes and low expectations. And it appeared to be flimsy when I took it out of the box. As a result, I was anticipating disliking it. Instead, my husband and I both enjoy it, and it is now his preferred organizer. The pill storage areas are extremely visible. It's very easy to tell if he's taken his medicine because of this. It's small and simple to assemble. We haven't had any issues with the lids popping off or failing to close. One thing to keep in mind is that this is not the organizer for you if you have a lot of LARGE pills. The individual sections are too small to work in that situation. But it'll suffice for our purposes.
Slim, smooth, clear, and light are all words that come to mind when describing this product. I was able to get all of my medications in while still having room for a few more. Each cell's tops are simple to open and close, and they snap shut. It's clear, and I can see my pills, which I like. Because I use the eve and bed rows for the second week, I am able to put in two weeks' worth of medication. I didn't have to spend a lot of money to get a good product. 👍😀.
I use this for my daily meds for four weeks of the month instead of morning, night, and so on, because it's easy to use and doesn't take up a lot of space. It's convenient that I only have to fill it once a month. However, the small lids appear to be quite flimsy, so I'm not sure how long they'll last.
When I received them, I realized they were smaller than I had anticipated. The compartments were not large enough, and because I have issues with my fingers, filling them was difficult. So, unfortunately, I had to return them, and the search for a larger box with more compartments continued. I'm sure you'd be fine for the average person.
I wish there was a way for me to give this a 0 star rating. What a scumbag he is! When I opened it up to put the meds in, pieces of it popped off and broke! Because there was too much travel to pack and send back, I just threw it away.
The lids are flimsy and need to be replaced. If you open the lid on Tuesday morning, you'll almost certainly open the lids on Monday and Wednesday morning as well. Any squeezing or exertion of force causes other compartments to open unintentionally.
