The shoe horn serves its purpose admirably. With repeated use, however, it loses its hold. As the distance between the two sides of the shoe horn grows, so does the distance between the two sides of the shoe horn as well. When this happens, the shoe horn will slide around and fit loosely in the shoe.
It's fantastic and has made a significant difference in my life; it's a game-changer! Because I wear an AFO brace due to a stroke and a bad ankle (AFO= ankle foot orthodic), it's more difficult for me to get everything in my shoe. It helps a lot that I use a shoehorn; once I get everything in place, it just slides in.
This was purchased for my sacony running shoes, which I had fitted with silicon shoe laces. This fits perfectly on the heel of the shoes and makes it easy for me to put them on.
This product is fantastic!! My AFOs (ankle foot orthotics) always crush the back of my shoe, which looks funny and has an impact on how the shoe stays on your foot. So I gave it a shot, and it turned out fantastically! The back of the shoe is no longer crushed. The only thing I would change is to make it a little wider, as I believe the brace would push the shoe horn off center less if it were a little wider.
Not for a disabled person. It's too difficult to remove the shoe once it's on. For someone with a full range of motion, this might be sufficient.
It really works.
NOT GOOD.
