We have a special needs son who has difficulty using utensils and will frequently eat only food that he can handle with his fingers. We've been urging him to use utensils more and more, but he's had trouble keeping the food on his plate while doing so. I was looking for a way to help him learn to use a fork and spoon more effectively when I came across the Able-To program. I ordered the two-pack of T Plate Guards, not expecting much, but I was wrong. My son will greatly benefit from these. He's less irritable while eating and doesn't spend as much time chasing food around his plate as he used to. Food is falling off his plate much less frequently now, and he is eating foods he previously avoided. Installing these plate guards is quick and easy, and they clean up beautifully. We've had a good time so far. We are very happy with this product and will most likely order more so that we don't have to keep washing the two we have; we are also very happy with the product overall.

With this guard, he makes far less of a mess and is less irritated because he isn't chasing food around his plate. I like that I can just toss it in the dishwasher when I'm done with it. Thank you a lot!.

If it fits your plates, I'm sure it's fantastic. Because the plastic is a little stiff, it won't fit ours; I had hoped for silicon, which would have conformed a little better. It was made of tough plastic. In hindsight, I could have cut it to fit only a quarter of the plate and been fine, but it wouldn't have fit without cutting. Returned.

These were purchased for someone who suffers from Alzheimer's disease in order to assist them in keeping their food on their plate. They work, and it also makes it easier for them to get more food on their fork, which is fantastic. Anything that aids someone with this condition in retaining some of their ability to care for themselves for a longer period of time is a win. Because each case is unique, it may or may not work for everyone, but we are grateful that it did for us.

Most of his meals ended up on the floor or on the table because he struggled to "scoop" them. This plate guard has proven to be extremely useful. He's dropping less food and eating faster without using a knife or a pushing tool, and it's not slowing him down. For a future product idea, it would be great to have one that fits square plates as well!.

He'd been having trouble keeping food in his apartment, and this is the solution! It acts as a backstop for his food, allowing him to place it on the fork or spoon without it slipping off the plate's edge. It's also easy to transport to a restaurant, as it simply slides over the plate's edge. I highly recommend this product.

THIS IS SUCH AN EASY TO USE DEVICE THAT WORKS WONDERS! DUE TO THE TENSION CREATED BY THE CURVED DESIGN, THE BORDER CLIP SNAPS ONTO ANY PLATE, BIG OR SMALL, AND FITS LIKE A GLOVE. WE STABILIZE THE PLATE WITH A NON-SLIP MAT, AND THE GUARD ACTS AS A BARRIER TO PREVENT THE FOOD FROM PUSHING OFF THE PLATE. SNAP ON SNAP OFF IS SO EASY TO USE. RUNNING IN WATER IS EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTRE DONE!.
