Questions & Answers

The bowl does not appear to have a raised scoop side in the photo someone posted (about it staining), but it does appear to be a regular shallow bowl. No?

It is at least 1 1/2 inches taller on one side than the other, and depending on the food, it may stain. I simply ensure that the plate is thoroughly rinsed before placing it in the dishwasher. I bought two of these for my husband, and they're both very nice. I have to cut his food, which leaves marks if I use a very sharp knife. Aside from that, it's the best plate he can use. I like the bottom gripper circle because it allows me to position the plate so that the lip is on the right side and he can scoop the food onto his fork or spoon. It's well worth the money, and it takes the sting out of trying to get food onto his utensils.

I'm curious about the size of this plate. ?

8. Counted from the beginning to the end. They're a good size at 5".

Is it possible to wash this plate in the dishwasher?

I'm afraid I can't tell you because I don't have a dishwasher. However, because it's the same type of plastic used in many children's cups, I'm confident it'll work.

Is it safe to use the plate in the microwave?

It's made of break-resistant plastic, so I'm guessing it's microwave-safe. I bought it for a family member who was recovering from a major stroke. was hesitant to put his food in the microwave, preferring instead to put it in the high-temperature dishwasher on a daily basis. did a fantastic job. The plate is one that I strongly recommend. The fabric is durable and well-made. More food was consumed by my relative. After the purchase, there was no help.

Our handicapped child has had no problems with this plate
4/5

For our disabled child, this is ideal. It's well-made, with thick materials and a non-slip surface. a base that slips We started with one and then went on to order two more. He doesn't stand out at the table because he looks like a standard dinner plate. We also have some right-angle spoons and forks on hand to assist him. br>br>While the plate starts out white and can be used on the top rack of the dishwasher, I can see where the color is already changing. It could be a little bigger, but I understand why you'd want to keep it that way - which plate is in the middle of a dessert plate and a full dinner plate - As a result, it fits in the dishwasher's top rack. Our son is a voracious eater, as he requires additional calories just to maintain his lean physique as a result of the extra work he puts in to control his muscles.

I purchased a Parson's Scoop plate to keep the food warm
5/5

I bought the Parson's Scoop plate, which keeps food on the plate rather than on the table, and the Ableware Scooper Bowl with the Suction Cup base to go with the Kinsman KEatlery Weighted Utensils, Set of 4 Includes Knife, Fork, Teaspoon, and Soup Spoon for my Uncle, who has a strong tremble in his hands and could only eat a few bites of food at a meal. The silverware and dishes have made a huge difference for him; he can now eat much more easily. br>I recently purchased a second set of everything for my Grandmother, who has shaky hands and was initially resistant to the idea of special silverware and dishes until she saw how much of a difference it made for her brother and tried his. She is now eagerly anticipating the arrival of her set.

This is an excellent dish
5/5

This dish has made it much easier for my husband to feed himself. He suffers from a severe case of essential tremor. The plate stays put on the table, and the lip serves as a scooping aid for him. He keeps his dignity, and I don't have as much to clean up after him. This product has made both of us extremely happy.

The Stains of Plastic Good for people who have tremors or other issues that make it difficult to keep their food on their plates
3/5

The only issue is that it is way overpriced for what it is. A single-sided plastic plate with no sides. If I need another, I'll most likely look around for a wide but shallow plastic bowl. Something that has a lot of sides to it. br>br>I've had this plate/bowl for a few years now. A speck of BBQ sauce from a sandwich being reheated in the microwave landed on the plate, which was also wrapped in paper towels. This is the end result: a stain that is impossible to remove. It appears to be very unappealing.

Exactly what we needed
5/5

It was exactly what my wife needed to continue feeding herself on her own. Her fine motor skills are deteriorating as a result of a neurological condition. I'm an occupational therapist, and I'm familiar with the effectiveness of these plates, which have been around for a long time. What I was looking for was quality at a reasonable price, and I found it with this product. I ordered two, and I'm using one to make her feel more at ease. My daughter has also expressed an interest in purchasing one. br>FYI, I cut my wife's food for her, and she scoops with a spoon most of the time.

This is a fantastic idea, and it makes it easier for my 92-year-old mother to eat
3/5

This is a fantastic idea that allows my 92-year-old mother to eat independently, but it irritates her skin and does not last long. We don't use the dishwasher because it scratches easily, making it difficult to get really clean. It's also pricey for a cheap plastic plate that won't last long. We're trying to come up with a different solution.

It's acceptable, but not outstanding
3/5

I couldn't decide which plate I wanted after reading so many reviews, so I ordered both this plate and the Providence Spillproof Scoop Plate. The first thing I noticed when this plate arrived was a sticker on it that read "Hygiene item!" "This item is not returnable. " This plate is okay, but it took 5 days to arrive, and the $5 premium over the Providence plate isn't worth it. The Providence plate also has a high wall, which helps to keep the food on the plate longer. Continue your search. You can't return it because it's not the best.

It was exactly what we needed
5/5

We tried a few different plates before settling on this one. This plate, out of all the ones we tried, allows someone who can only use her left hand to feed herself with little or no assistance. The anti- Because the plate has a skid ring around the bottom, it stays in place better than those with only small feet, allowing her to slide food to the edge and scoop it up with her spoon. We had been looking for a plate like this. As a result, we purchased additional supplies. Yes, they're nearly twice as expensive as other plates, but in this case, the investment was well worth it, and you get what you pay for. When I try to think of ways to improve this, I'm at a loss for ideas. Of course, this is based solely on my personal experience, so it may or may not apply to you.
