Questions & Answers

Is there a non-skid rubberized bottom on this?

Although it has a rubberized bottom, it is too light to support itself. It's a waste of time. Make a financial plan. Mine was thrown away. It's preferable to use a piece of non-woven fabric. Material for skids, such as rubber. Use regular dinnerware with a rubber rug underlay. In addition, if you have cp or other physical issues, navigating the lip is impossible.

This bowl was purchased for my child's speech therapist, who informed me that it should have come with a suction base? And it wasn't just the blue plate that did it for me?

The bowl came with a suction cup base that was designed specifically for it. Articles that are way too expensive. Quality is of poor quality. I'm not sure if it's free of BPA, but I doubt it. I wish I had the opportunity to return it to you. A donation box is kept in the garage.

Selected User Reviews For FabLife Scoop Plate

It's smaller, lighter, and of lower quality than you might expect; yes, it's 6 3/4 inches long, but I expected it to be slightly smaller than a pasta bowl
3/5

This is, after all, an adult plate, not a child's plate. It can only hold one serving of one type of food. This isn't your average dinner. It is extremely light. It and the food would be on the floor in a flash if I used it for my husband as I intended. The plastic is of poor quality, resembling that of a child's plastic toy. The rim's edges are sharp as well, rather than smooth and round. Overall, this is a very low-cost product.

It is too small and light
3/5

This is a tiny plate with a diameter of only six inches. Except as a snack, it's too small. It's also so light that when you touch it, it moves around on the table. The plate is a good idea, but it should be larger and heavier so it doesn't move around when you're chasing food around the plate.

This is a fantastic plate
5/5

My elderly mother requires lighter weight dishes right now--this plate has a raised edge that keeps food from spilling over. Because she no longer eats at a table these days, she needs a smaller plate to keep food from sliding away from her. It's all good! Large, heavy plates and full meals are out, and she does better with smaller, more frequent meals. This is *extremely* beneficial to us. Thank you very much.

It's enough for a small plate of food
3/5

This plate is much smaller than I anticipated, despite the fact that I read the dimensions. However, because of the curve, the portion of the plate that can be used is extremely small. It's fine for a kid's meal or a side dish, but not for an adult main course. I didn't think it stayed in place well, and because it's light weight, you're constantly chasing your plate for the next bite, which I thought was a waste of money.

For a snack, this is a good size plate
5/5

My husband suffered a stroke shortly before Memorial Day, and I've been looking for items to make mealtime and snack time more enjoyable for him. This small plate is perfect for a variety of small cut fruit and vegetable pieces, as well as cheese and crackers. He is able to eat more independently thanks to the scoop design.

Snacks or children will enjoy this
3/5

I purchased this for an adult, and while I am disappointed, I will keep it for small snack portions. If you're looking for a plate for a disabled adult, this is not the plate for you; however, it would be fine for a child, so I can't give it a bad rating. However, it could have been described much more effectively in order to sell!.

A non-skid bottom would have been preferable
3/5

This dish will serve its purpose IF the person does not pull on it because it is very light and has no bottom to keep it from sliding. It will, however, slide or flip if the user has a heavy hand. More suited to a child than a disabled person.

For a 18" doll, it's perfect
3/5

I got it for a dementia-stricken relative, but it's so small that he can't even see it! Don't bother, it's my fault; I assumed the dimensions couldn't be THAT small when I saw PLATE for the elderly or special needs. br>I went for something inexpensive, but only in terms of price; I didn't expect to be so amused when I opened it!.
