Despite being designed to fit over the heel of the shoe, the opening did not open enough to extend over the heel. The shoe still would not open far enough to go on the heel, even if I tried to open it that far. This will be sent back to you.
I think these are great. The information I needed years ago would have been useful to me now. There are a few pairs of "slippers" in my closet Getting shoes on that I can't just slip on and need a shoe horn to do so is a nuisance for me. After getting these Shoe Helpers, I put them in my two favorite pairs of shoes, and now they are so easy to slip on that I can effectively step into them. To remove them from the shoes, all you need to do is bend over. Nothing to fuss about, nothing to struggle with. I would highly recommend these Shoe Helpers to anyone who has trouble putting on their favorite shoes.
The care I gave my elderly parents did not help them.
All you have to do is get started with them right away. It is possible for these to shift if you miss them. It is also difficult to remove your foot from the shoe with your foot in it. Rather than using a short handle shoehorn, you should use a long one.
I gave one pair to my wife and the other to my sister-in-law. The two of them enjoy it a lot. The wife of my sister in law suffers from a lower back issue, and the wife of my wife is a tad on the fat side. By using the shoe helper, you won't have to bend as much. The shoe helper is thus beloved by both of them. It's great that the shoe helper stores on the shoes instead of in a drawer or closet, because unlike the standard shoe horn which can be misplaced easily and the long handled shoehorn which needs to be stored, the shoe helper remains on the shoes after use!.
All of my shoes have padding around the area where you have to slip them on, giving it a little more difficulty to put on. I haven't had a problem with it once I put it on the shoe.
They are very sharp around the edges too. The carpet won't stick to soft footwear, such as.
My spine becomes bent easily which makes putting on shoes difficult. Regular shoehorns do not help keep the shape of the shoe on As you put them on, these prevent them from crushing. After the shoes have been worn for a short time, the handles are removed from the shoe.
I would definitely purchase again and perhaps even buy more to give as as gifts in the future.
