Despite never being on an 11 hour flight, I use this collar all the time. It holds up just as well as another collar that I bought for $35. Washing and drying should not be done by machine- The only thing you should wash is your hands. A black collar was exactly what I had been looking for- I have trouble keeping my white pants clean because my makeup stains them. Hope it works out for you!
I find it to be as comfortable as a neck collar can possibly
Using a tape measure, you can determine what size collar you need by measuring the circumference (around the outside) of your neck.
Three inches is how wide the collar is all around except at the point where it curves down under the chin,

It was difficult to decide which one to purchase because there were so many options. Having a notch for the chin makes your chin easier to maneuver, so it does not get jammed up in the pillow. I didn't want anything too high that would be painful on my neck, but something that had good support. In my opinion, the width of the logo is just right. Although the circumference is somewhat large, it isn't too wide. The circumference of my neck is about 13 inches The circumference and diameter of this brace are 15 inches and 16 inches, respectively The belt is a bit loose, so it's a little big. However, it continues to feel very supportive. I generally loosen it or make it less tight when trying to make it tighter. How loose it is has been a big draw for me. I can place a small ice pack under the brace on days where I've been active and it fits This was a very good purchase for me in general.
I have an undiagnosed neck injury probably caused by a herniated disk, but I bought this to see if it would ease the pain between doctor visits and scans and x-rays. Does precisely that, and a very good job of it. Being barely out of my 40s, I am shy about wearing the collar out, so I wear it with an oversized black sweatshirt and a black zip-up jacket instead Hoodie with a bit of attitude. It looks like a turtleneck to me, and people think I like black. Having it takes me out of my own head The conscious mind.
Earlier in November, my father had spinal stenosis surgery and I ordered this collar support to provide him with extra support. As a result of how extensive the spinal surgery was, both his surgeon and neurologist were of the opinion that he should keep it on for the foreseeable future. The hospital gave him a collar size 3 when he first went into surgery. He lost five to four inches (I think that's the size) of neck foam which surely stabilized his neck considering he is 6'3 and over 225 pounds. He has a lot of neck, so that's why he has to wear a brace. His hospital-issued collar was white, which is a PAIN to clean, and I thought this black color and shorter size would be ideal for watching TV or conversing. He does not need to watch TV or interact if he is not at risk of injury to his spine. In addition, I thought it wouldn't stand out as much since he has returned to work as a pharmacist, making it less likely that it would be noticed since he doesn't move much, and this would blend in with his regular attire, and Even though I am thinking about going with a 3 inch one. You will need to think about how big the patient is and the size of the neck when you buy.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel. It's a good choice for anyone looking for a foam collar to support the neck. It is a good thing that they have started making them black instead of white, which gets so dirty and cannot be washed. My neck is average in size for a lady my size. I think this fits well. The 3" refers to the front of the collar under the In no place do I find that mentioned.
If you are planning to use this to keep your head from nodding or lolling on red-eye flights, it is crucial that you receive the right size. I fly with my eyes. My head still nodded or floated, even if my head was resting on my leg (which either woke me up or prevented me from taking the ideal nap). I had an average-size one from Walgreens years ago, and it helped tremendously. The contours of this one fit much better, and I'm able to snooze much better now that my head rests directly on the pillow. IMPORTANT NOTE The most important thing is finding the right fit, not just the design or the make. It is important to keep in mind that if you wish to use it for sleeping on a plane, you need high and tight, more so than if you wish to use it while lying flat or walking around the house It should be a little lower in the front and looser in the rear, so your neck has a bit more.
It was eight weeks ago when C6) should have been drafted. The first six weeks were very difficult. I wore a collar every day, almost 24 hours a day. In my case, I used three of them. My transition from the plastic collar to no collar at all during the day and while sleeping in this collar for a few weeks during the transition was made with a 5 inch foam collar. In addition to the second collar, which is 3 inches long, I also purchased a shorter one which makes washing my face easier and allowing me to wash my hair more easily. My only reason for rating four stars is that I had hoped they would be a bit sturdier. Although the collar is taller 5 inches) still supported my head Even though I had stopped wearing collars during the day, I still slept in it at night to prevent my neck from becoming twisted. I've kept them on hand now so that I can use them when traveling on a plane or going on road trips. They are relatively inexpensive, but they helped me a lot during this scary time.
My neck is prone to whiplash, so finding a pillow to support my neck and prevent me from bending my head toward my chest while sleeping on my side is a difficult task. This pillow does well at holding my neck in place without immobilizing it The clothing can get very hot at times. The summer is probably not the best time to use it. The large was too big for me. According to our measurement method, large was too small, but in the end it turns out it's just about right, though perhaps a bit on the wide side Also, my neck is thin enough that the velcro overlaps my neck only by about 3/4 inch, but it stays in place.
