It does have a good amount of lockdown. There was no swaying for me.

While the height is acceptable, the structure is extremely unstable. If you don't apply equal pressure to both arm rests, they will fall to one side or the other. This item is not at all suitable for the elderly. It only has one small front part that clamps on to the toilet rim, and it does not stay in place. It might be ok if there were more clamps, but it's not going to work here as is. I don't want my mother squatting on the toilet!.
The item appears to be well-made. Plastic that is very heavy. It was extremely simple to set up and took no time at all. It appears to be very stable once you're on the toilet. The fact that it isn't designed to be friendly to normal male anatomy is the only criticism I have. If you catch my drift, there's no room for your junk! In fact, if you aren't careful, it can be extremely painful because most men dislike being pinched. Ever! However, since the riser is so simple to remove and reinstall once the business is taken care of, it isn't a big deal. However, if you require an elevated toilet seat for medical reasons (for example, if your wife is having her hip replaced) and your doctor recommends it, this is a simple and cost-effective solution. br>If we discover any issues with durability in the future, I'll update my review.
It was simple to put together; all you had to do was lift the seat and place it on top of the bowl. Its only flaw was that it was too firm for my friend to handle. Sitting was excruciating for her because she was suffering from severe back pain. I eventually got her a cushioned seat riser with velcro straps that she preferred. So, for someone who doesn't have severe back problems, this would suffice. (I bought one very similar to this for my father 25 years ago, and he loved it. ) He was able to sit and stand without assistance.
This is a comfortable chair for me. It's as simple as removing it from the packaging and placing it on your toilet. I had to purchase and install a new raised toilet seat that was supposed to fit my toilet. It did not fit my commode and I was unable to install it due to its small size. Due to the fact that it was not returnable, I had to bear the cost.
This seat may be unsightly, but it serves its purpose admirably. It has a strong and steady foundation. It was very simple to set up. The Nova raised toilet seat is a far superior option to some of the other options.
It's not comfortable to sit on unless you're a pencil thin person. I didn't feel safe. This item is not returnable, so be cautious before purchasing.
When we tried to tighten the adjusting screw to our toilet for the first time, it broke. The side handles are flimsy and do not extend far enough. The seat fits the toilet well, but when you put any weight on it, it slips to one side or the other. I am extremely dissatisfied with this product, and I would return it if the packaging had not already been discarded. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT ONE THAT I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. a final note; It's bad enough that they sold faulty merchandise; now I'm supposed to cover the cost of returning the package? The seller is nothing but a con artist!.
In preparation for my hip replacement, I chose this raised toilet seat for one of my frequently used bathrooms and a different version for the Master bathroom with legs to the ground on either side of the seat. Other reviews have claimed that the NOVA seat's design is poor, with only a simple clip at the front and very unstable at the back unless you put all your weight on your arms to raise yourself straight up, not even on a slight forward hinge angle. I am capable of doing so, but the elderly are unable to. I'm hoping I don't have the added problem of water leaking because of how this elevated seat is mounted, as another customer correctly complained about, necessitating an expensive plumbing repair.
