This chair will give me my independence and privacy while in the bathroom after my heel surgery (no weight bearing for at least 10 weeks and I will be able to walk normally on my dominant foot). The size is just what I needed, having a large build and being tall. In addition to the smooth and comfortable seat, this model is padded on the armrests and handlebars, as well as padded on the back rest, rather than bare metal as shown in the picture. The commode that I purchased from another website did not come with a splash guard, and that was a deal breaker for me, so I have returned it. It is designed for over the toilet use, not bedside use, so I needed the height this one provides with a splash guard. The bucket is in the box, in the basement, since this is for over the toilet use. I am confident this will prove to be a wise purchase!.

There is a lot of similarity between this and the hospital commode. In addition to being sturdy, it has a large sitting surface, making it ideal for comfortable plus-size usage A person of average size. In addition to providing a comfortable sitting area and eliminating the need to empty a bucket, the bench can be used over a toilet. A splash guard would be needed, however, so that this device works without being messy. With the splash guard in place, it works just as well as it did when the splash guard was on another commode.

The feeling I have is that I am very stable and confident This is something I am comfortable with. Seating is very comfortable, and the armrests are situated in a great spot. I do have one drawback -- it doesn't adjust quite right for my setting regarding the "downsplash". This is the first time we ordered from them.

What you see is what you get This is a great alternative to a standard toilet that is both very comfortable and sturdy. Splashes and spills were a thing of the past when this product was used in conjunction with liners and gel pads. I appreciate it.

There were bent bars and a cracked surface when it was delivered The pieces are not compatible enough to lock together. Since I would have had to return & obtain it after leg surgery, I could make do with zip ties, since I did not have time to do so The surgery must be scheduled before my replacement. The back rest is sturdy enough for people who don't require it to rest on, but if the person has a back problem, stroke, etc, they should purchase the chair from a brick and mortar store There might be one available at a local brick-and-mortar store, or maybe even a local charity.

It is also hard to put the bowl back in place once it has been removed. I would not order from this vendor The instructions for assembly are very straightforward. There is no need for tools. I was concerned about the shipping time, it took over 10 days for the order to arrive, and I almost called the company to inquire where it was located.
